I don't see to many issues, when Lind is healthy I would guess Cooper would sit. As for holes, line up is fine they just need to start to produce.
Ideally, Snider is recalled in another 2 or 3 weeks. This would see Patterson pullled from the line up.
Jays are not going to spend money on a big bat for another year or so IMO.

Well, this season is quickly establishing itself. It's tough to watch a bunch of bargain-basement players trying to scrap out wins.
And yet another pitcher can't deliver a QS. Sigh...

Farrell is a terrible manager. No way you can take out your best pitcher in a 2-2 game in the 4th. He was cruising until that inning. He has to be given the chance to get out of it. Especially since the bullpen is crap.
Awful. This team is going nowhere with this guy.

Morrow isn't their best pitcher. He may have the best stuff but he is so inconsistent and so terrible with the strike zone that he is not better than a guy like Romero.

Either way, you don't give Morrow the hook that quickly. He is one of the teams top 3 guys, and as part of his development you have to make him pitch out of jams.
So far, I'm not too impressed with Farrells ability to manage a game.

Ok that's arguable but Morrow is a guy that can get on a roll, as inconsistant as he is. He could have gotten out of that jam with maybe one more run scored because he has the ability to strike people out. It would be 3-2, maybe 4-2... now it's freaking 10-2. Way to waste arms in the bullpen.
No pitching coach visit, no manager coming to the mound for a pep talk. No stalling. Just YANK. That's ridiculous managing.

Why am I cursed with cheering for crappy teams!? Thought the Blue Jays might have been competitive this season.

Last year is going to look like the good old days unfortunately. This season is going to be hard to watch. Too bad as it seemed like there was a good local buzz around the team to open the season.

The Jays are rebuilding, it shouldn't really be much of a shock that they aren't very good. They will have a bunch of good young players coming up sooner than later (Thames, Lawrie, Snider, Stewart), as well as a bunch that will come up in a little while (McGuire, Snydergaard, Woj, Sanchez, Gose, Marisnick, Hechivarria, Knecht etc)
You'll likely see the first group coming up in June or July, and the later group as soon as next year (Deck for one)
It just really sucks right at this point in time.

Its great to have "good buzz"... but folks should not get to carried away as they don't have the players to be competitive as of yet in my opinion. At least not in the AL East.
What has hurt the Jays in the early going is injuries...
Jays simply don't have the depth at this point to lose players like Hill, Davis, Bautista, Escobar, Nix and now Lind....
I hope by the end of the season they are around .500 (probably a few games under...).

I had the impression that Morrow was hurt last night. I was only half watching/listening to the game, I thought I heard buck say he lost a ton of velocity from one inning to the next.

He was not hurt and went on the record saying that he would have liked to pitch deeper into the game.
Farrell's an idiot.
edit:
Quote:
"I wasn't feeling fatigued," Morrow said. "I think that maybe I started trying to make pitches to get myself a ground ball, something along those lines, when I didn't have my greatest stuff.
"I didn't want to come out. I would have liked the chance to stay in and work my way out of it."

Nice back and forth game against Boston going on. Lester vs Drabek. Bautista continues to impress, hitting his 11th dinger of the year already.

Yes. Is it really that hard to understand? the 60 game comment was made well after the season started. I thought they'd be competitive before the season started with all the hype surrouding the new GM and the new philosophy he was bringing in.
Now that they've come off their early season honey moon the real Blue Jays are showing up and they are a horrible team. Wouldn't be surprised if they only won 60-70 games this season.

David Cooper with his first career HR puts the Jays back up by one in the eighth. Great game.

It is nice having Davis and his speed on base. Loved watching him steal two in a row there.
