Funny thing is I said on Facebook when it looked like he was coming in earlier that I would feel more comfortable with a position player pitching than him.

if anyone asks, “How did Mitch White do in a high leverage situation?” The answer is: “How do I say this diplomatically? I think Kevin Mitch did exactly as well as anyone might have expected someone like him to perform in a position like that.”

They have burned lots of bullpen arms with all the close games.

Need the starters to go an inning more each outing.

They got the clutch hit, which has been lacking, yet couldn't close the deal.

Ryu coming back will help.

I'm still bullish on this roster.

Damn. Went to bed when it was 3-2 Jays in the 7th. What the hell happened?! Looks like I'g glad I didn't watch the ending. That wouldn't have been healthy.

Apparently that ump missed 24 calls last night. Yikes.

CB Bucknor. He truly is a terrible umpire, he just doesn't have the same ego as Angel Hernandez so he doesn't get quite as much hate.

The Trent Thornton era is officially over. I'll always remember the only Jays game I've seen live where he pitched a 1-0 loss to the Yankees. Vladdy came in as a pinch hitter in the bottom of the 9th and almost walked it off against Chapman.

Pretty listless inning by Jays batters to start the game

Jays let Barnes , a player with a negative OPS+ get a hit. Of course they did. (Nice D Biggio…)

Costs Kikuchi 11 extra pitches .

Yeah, he's over 40 pitches after 2 innings. Would be nice to see him get more than 4-5 innings.

At some point we're going need Ryu coming back for a long relief instead of a start...

Surprise surprise. Another ump clown show. Horrible zone all day today. Only a matter of time until someone got tossed.

Some of these umps are so thin skinned. It was a horrible strike call, they said something, big whoop. You don't need to toss guys that complain over a very valid reason.

Robot strikes would be a big improvement to the game. That was 2 bad calls in a row, the second of which was egregious.

Sportsnet had already adjusted the count to 2-0 on one of them and had to go back and change it to 1-1.

The theory is that umps skin is getting thinner as the likelihood of their replacement behind the plate gets closer.
