Donald Trump is a racist and a sexist. Period.

ergo the half of the population that supported him (including minorities), are also racist?

I'm not sure why you would think anyone would need to replace Trump as "orange man bad". He's not going to go anywhere. He's going to continue to insist he was robbed of the election, that Biden is illegitimate and that he is the real President. He's going to continue to attract attention to himself, and the media will continue to give it to him because he's such a sideshow. And while the Democrats will no doubt impugn McConnell - which I'd note they have already been doing for many years - they're going to still be talking about Trump as well, just as Trudeau continues to talk about Stephen Harper (not that there's a comparison between them).
The strategy in 2022 and 2024, clearly, will be "don't let the Trump administration back into power".

no, but half of the population had no problem voting for a racist (which is the point Jiri was making as well). Stop twisting words.

You've gotta take the wins when they come and enjoy them. Hope everyone who has felt the same weight on their chest the last 4 years is breathing easier and has some time to celebrate today.

I'd pay good money to see Donald Trump rage-quit, pitch a fit in the Oval office like a 5-year old at a supermarket who just got denied cookies and then storm away.

Jiri’s contention was that it speaks to some sort of moral failing. I would disagree with that.

That's where my additional possibilities are important: what percentage of the Trump supporters do you think don't agree that he is a racist?

Well, #4 and #5 are not true (he most clearly IS a racist).
So that leaves #3, which, I agree, does apply to many of the 70 million people that voted for him. However, the fact that they believe this is on them - you can present evidence to people, but you can't make them see it.

American liberals evict elderly, financially-distressed COVID survivor from inner-city public housing. So much for the tolerant left.

You're right, Trump is a unique character. Even if every flaw you can claim about him is true and accurate, this is also true:
1. He became a billionaire...twice
2. He married a supermodel....twice
3. He's been one of the most famous people in the world for 40 years, creating a brand (love it or hate it) around nothing but his name
4. He got elected as President of the united states.
He's certainly not going to quietly retire to a ranch like Bush 2.

Again, back to my point...if all of the blue-staters just think that the 50% of the population is either dumb, blind, or racist, then they can't exactly blame the "other guys" for being the divisive ones. I doubt that Biden will preside over some unifying moment in American history.
Trump supporters know that that's what blue-staters think about them.

I'd actually love this to happen. I'd take Pence for a couple months over an unhinged orange psychopath for the sake of the country.
