So remember the key word here on that vote is its non-binding.

So the Committee needs to report the results to the house.

The Liberals can still say simply nah it stays in a committee, there's no requirement for a vote in the house. Its up to the government to decide to take the advice of the committee, not the house. That's what I've read, but its a as things are in government a muddled mess.

Its a bit confusing but the Liberals could call for a vote in the house, and this would all come down to the NDP on the vote, which could be a free vote instead of a whipped vote.

So realistically this is all theater.

Outright win not required, minority suits the Liberals just fine with the NDP holding balance of power. You say this we will say that, you do this we will do that, sweep everything under the carpet...cowtow to the natives, immigrants, maritimes, Quebec, those on social assistance and whatever/whomever else the Liberal and NDP base is? Neither party is touchable. The "conservatives" won't stand a chance for at least another 3 terms. My advise? Squeeze everything you can out of the system, may as well line up at the trough.

Sorry. These numbers are not legit as Yoho never posted them on here.

I'm not sure that those numbers are all that bad for them to be honest. A good result for the CPC in Quebec is a little over 20%. When Harper won his second minority they got 21.7% in Quebec and that translated to 10 seats. When they won a majority they only got 16.5% which translated to 5 seats. It's nice to get 10 seats instead of 5 but the path to government for the CPC runs through Ontario, just like always.
