It was a beautiful trap. I already knew it was there thanks to Twitter, but nobody saw it and thus nobody was slamming on brakes. That's how they were able to nab so many people.

Was it northbound or southbound?

I assume southbound because no one seems to go 100 let alone faster on northbound Deerfoot at 64th (although, it was a Sunday afternoon, so that might be different).

it was northbound...part of the success was the officer on the 64th ave overpass catching people as they passed...

Everytime I back out of the garage, I get about half a block down the street when I get this overwhelming urge to go back and see if I closed the door. Of course the garage door is always closed and I feel like an idot.

That reminds me of when you're going to work and you really have to take a ####. You wake up feeling great, definitely don't have to poop! Then as soon as you're half way there, it hits. Like a tsunami of searing gas pain. So now you have to decide if it's worth it to be a little bit late and turn around, or hope you can make it to work and go without bursting.

You risk it. Traffic is going at a steady pace, and everything is looking up. Once you get into your office/place of work/whatever, you rush to the bathroom. But somebody stops you on the way with bad news. You have something urgent that can't be skipped. By that time, it's too late. You were a ticking time bomb, and the clock has hit zero.

At first it's great. Pain relief! But then you can feel the warm shame make its way down your legs. Embarrassment sets in. You try to explain yourself, but it's no use. Without hesitation, they take you to a psych ward against your will. Calling for help did nothing. Nobody wants to talk to a pants ####ter. They think you're crazy! But you're not. Or so you keep telling the doctors, which only reinforces their bias of you being crazy. It's done, you're committed forever. Eventually losing all sense of reality.

And that's how we found out grandma had Alzheimer's. So... watch out for that.

The worst is when I am with my wife. "You closed that, right?"

I wouldn't give it a second thought, but because she mentioned it, I second guess myself. Then I turn around to find a perfectly closed garage door.

My girlfriend always does this too and it makes me second guess myself, and we always go back and check. Happens mostly on weekends before we head out camping

We've never left without closing and locking everything

As soon as you or someone even begin to wonder if you closed it, it's game over. You have to go back.

I think hulkrogan said he had some garage door opener/app where you can check if its closed.

The speed limit in the area is 100 km/h. The lowest speed of a ticketed driver was 120 km/h. The highest recorded speed was 157 km/h.

*re-sets cruise from 109 to 119*

Seriously, this is valuable info, I used to do 109, now if I only still lived there I'd boost it up to 119!
