Yeah it's ugly but the forehand is looking spicy. Whoever runs out of steam in the slugfest might go down.

No, but a long service game is far better than a break at love.

Emma is playing away from the forehand. That's going to get exploited pretty quick here.

Both their serves are looking fairly weak, not sure breaks are going to mean much.

Both players dealing with nerves early on. It's going to get interesting when both players get past this early stage and start playing their best tennis.

Big hold there to consolidate after that wild forehand that wasn't needed.

If the colour commentator could talk like 70% less, it would improve the call significantly.

I would say that Leylah should direct shots to the Emma forehand, to me it appears to be the weaker side.

I’m a CFL fan but I’m all over this match, until it’s time to leave for the Labour Day rematch.

CFL is easier to catch up on later with the skip button. Not so much with tennis. Plus, I can watch the riders blow it anytime I want. A US Open final is rare.

You can see why Randcanu hasn't lost a single set period. She plays a really, really solid game. She'll be a great force on tour if she stays consistent.
