The worst is when someone says 'stop being so bias'. You need that -ed or you are dumb. My scatterbrain grammar is a nightmare when i re-read it.

I took a year of Engineering at university. One of the first-year courses was "Technical Writing". The prof taught spelling and grammar.

Yep. “Speak & Spell” is what we affectionately called the technical writing and presentations class.
