Yeah, no AMA. I have the TD Auto Club thing which does most of what AMA does, but it doesn't cover towing in this situation.
I figure any professional towing company knows what they're doing, so even if they're the best price it should be fine. Just called one at random and it's apparently about $150 so not the end of the world I guess.

Citywide for me, I don't know about cheapest, they're the only ones that I've had show up and had a driver say 'Can you wait another 30 minutes for a more experienced driver to be free? I don't want to wreck anything'

Kind of an Automotive post.
My boy is driving our 2011 Durango.
The aim is for it to last his grade 12 year (next school year).
Then I will be getting rid of it, he is either going away to school or travelling.
It needs new tires but I don't want to pay $$$ for rubber on this vehicle.
Any recommendations for cheap tires?

Pick n pull or any of those yards should have them for ~$25 or so, might take some looking around.

Facebook / Kijiji usually has stuff with common tire sizes, just bring something to measure tread depth yourself and look at the manufacture date to make sure they aren't too old.

Get the tire size off the vehicle and search Kijiji / Facebook Marketplace for tires would be my suggestion. Sold the old Pirellis off my RRS that way.

Quoted and bolded for emphasis.
The people who claim that the tires have "85% tread remaining" have no clue what they are talking about. Either ask for better close-up pictures, or go take a look in-person.
If your lifespan is only 2 years or so, I wouldn't even really worry too much about the brand/model as anything you get will likely be a massive upgrade over current tires and will be a fraction of new retail prices.
I bought a set of nice winter tires off there from someone who severely undervalued them.

I also suggest Kijiji for a used set in this case and wanted to mention that you can buy a tread depth gauge at Canadian Tire for, like, 5 bucks... Definitely don't trust the seller to accurately eyeball how much tire there is left.

So I got a interior car detail as a gift. I contacted the service before and asked about what products they use as I didn't want a slick greasy feel after they were done and they said they used quality water based products.
Well they came and a few days later everything still has a slick greasy feel, my hands feel greasy after I drive.
I tried a damp micro-fiber towel (which now feels slick and greasy) as well as some paper towels but it's still there.. is there anything I could use to get rid of it?
I was thinking of some Lysol cleaning wipes or something, just using those once shouldn't harm any of the surfaces of the car should it? Repeated use probably would but just one time to get a normal feeling surface?

I would use a bit of foaming glass cleaner or even just Windex on a cloth or paper towel. It should cut whatever greasy crap they used.

If the leather is over conditioned, IMO shop towels might work too.
You could use a leather cleaner to clean it off then recondition it yourself... or if it's over conditioned, after using the leather cleaner, no conditioning required because the conditioner inside the leather will balance out from the cleaned/dried out surface.
If you want something wet, I think baby wipes work fine. Lysol might be too aggressive, but I don't know what your situation actually is and whether that level of aggressive oil removal is actually required.

I'd start with a wet cloth and something mild like dish soap.

Thanks for the suggestions yeah makes sense to start mild and work up if needed.
I mentioned it to the chat window on the place's website just to confirm there wasn't any silicone based products used and he called me and said he thinks what happened is that team may have not properly diluted the product they used. He's going to come himself and check it out and address any problem so that's great!

Man, it's a fricken nightmare looking for a car for my son right now. Used car shopping used to be so fun.
Really want a Civic for ~$15k, but it's basically impossible. So many salvage titles or just total piles of junk owned by people who wash their cars with sandpaper or something. It has to be manual, too, which reduces the cars available, but I'm non-negotiable on that. First car has to be stick just to get him engaged with it and to really cement in him driving standard.

I'm the other way, I'd probably want my kid's first car to be an automatic so they can learn about the important part of driving.. driving safely and getting used to interacting with other cars on the road and let it all become habit then he can add a new skill safely.

That's fair, but I've been teaching him for two years on standard already. He turns 16 in September and I want to keep the standard momentum going. I find he pays more attention and his mind stays on driving better when he's changing gears versus an automatic where daydreaming can set in. I think he's a safer driver with stick, but every kid is different so an automatic may be best for you.
My daughter is now 17.5 and has been driving stick since she got her license on her 16th birthday. She's an awesome driver and standard is a skill shockingly few of her peers have. I think it makes her look cool hah.
