Lol. Fair.
Apparently what I said above is false, the rock came out and said he never actually followed them to begin with. I’m to deep into this, time to not pay attention for a while.

Thats probably for the best, not because you're too deep into it or anything, but at the moment WB and the DCEU is like a bag of cats.
Nobody has any idea WTF is going on. It seems like complete chaos.
Everyone probably has to step back, let the dust settle a little and then see what happens from there.
It feels like right now WB/DC is more concerned about their taxes than their product or actually creating content.

Cavill should just go flex on Netflix and get the Geralt role back. And give him creative control.

Just picture me in a dark room at a desk with a laptop and a desk lamp, chain smoking cigarettes, tie loosened around my collared neck, leaning on my elbow with the ciggie just inches from my lips "ahhhhh I gotta let this ride, I'm in to deep!!!!"

Just...I dont know, just focus on the fact that Zaslav and Gunn are probably Lizard-men.
Now you just have to invest in a typewriter and start your own newsletter.
You've already got the darkened, smoky room down and now you just need to really invest in a medium to serious drinking problem and you're set!

Black Adam was terrible so if they don't make another one it would be for the best.

They were going for a Shazam side universe. If Shazam 2 is good we could see more Black Adam.

I found Black Adam really confusing. I think I would have intently watched to 10 minutes of exposition they had every 15 minutes of run time to understand what was going on.
Kinda reminded me of the Scorpion King maybe partially because of the Rock and the setting but also the poorly explained exposition heavy force mythology, definitely not bad like BvsS, JL, WW84, AquaM.
Near the same level as Shazam, although with different problems than Shazam, watchable if CBMs are your genre, but not the movie that's gonna turn DCEU into a broad appeal heavy hitter.

They also didn't trust Joker was going to be a hit so they co-financed it only to lose out on hundreds of millions of dollars.

Oh don't get me wrong. it's been a #### show for most of those 55 years. Didn't intend to suggest otherwise.
But it suvived nonetheless.

I wish things had gone differently for the Rock and Black Adam, but it did get a really good response from a lot of fans.
Gunn we are expecting big things after this house cleaning of yours. I mean it can't get worse.. but you've erased the few shining lights in the darkness.

That might be a bit generous. It got a tepid response from most fans and a positive response from a small, loyal subset of the fanbase. Not nearly enough to green light a sequel.
I’m not sure there are any shining lights at DC at the moment.

Joker and The Batman were really well received and made tons of money, they should've just rolled with those and done an ultra gritty / violent DC universe instead of rebooting everything. Like if The Batman 2 had an aged up Joaquin Phoenix escaping from Arkham to take on a young Batman, you could've made the timeline kind of work out. Instead The Batman tried to introduce yet another new Joker and now that franchise will probably be rebooted again too.

I enjoyed The Batman but, it's weird, don't really have a lot of desire to rewatch it. Same with Joker. You definitely need to be in the right mindset to want to plod through those again.
That style of movie wouldn't work for the rest of DC.

I don’t think DC should be trying the whole interconnected universe with grand plots. Even Marvel should tone it down. Marvel became successful because it made enjoyable movies with characters people liked.
Keep the current Batman and tell a story about that Gotham. Have the Joker exist in his own world telling that story. If at some point in time you want to Retcon these together with the flash people will find it fun.

The Joker was interesting in that was a pretty good movie, but it really has nothing to do with DC or the Joker at all.
It could have been about 'Clive the mentally unstable dude in apartment 3C' but then it doesnt get to piggy-back on the free Joker credibility.
What do you do with that? Have Batman beating the living crap out of a mentally challenged guy? Thats going to come with some problems of its own.
