If the statement was backed up in any way, it would have to be refuted. This was just a comment to the ether. It's like going onto a Oil forum and stating that falling down and flopping a penalty is the only skill that has given McDavid the Art Ross, any given year. I would then happily post 400 videos of McDavid falling down easily. You have posted no videos of falling down.

I have it on good authority that he did it solely to get a rise out of Paulie Walnuts.

This statement isn't truth, it is an opinion. And it isn't even a good opinion - it is extreme, obtuse, and inaccurate.
You're quick to get indignant and defensive when people call out your posts - well, guess what? With #### like the above, you deserve it!

I do know what truth is and my comment was 100% truth.
I find it funny that people cry about trolls when I make a statement the site has been discussing for years, our lack of depth and quality on the right side. But now it is trolling because a couple of babies can’t handle reality.

You said he doesn't have any chemistry with any roster players we have as 100% fact when he hadn't even played with half the roster. It isn't truth, it is complete and utter BS. Sharangovich just got acquired a few weeks ago for Christ's sake, how can you possibly know if he will have chemistry with Huby or not? You are clearly just trying to stir the pot.

Sharangovich? The guy that was a heathy scratch for New Jersey?
Come on it’s ok to use some common sense and admit that there are major questions about Hubredeau and linemates, especially when it comes to chemistry and good fits. That isn’t being pessimistic, it isn’t stirring the pot and it sure as hell isn’t trolling.
It is a legitimate concern the team has to consider going into next season.

When you look at the advanced stats, the Huberdeau-Kadri combination looks like chemistry on paper, especially when one of Dube, Ritchie, or Toffoli were on the line with them. Really wish they could have produced more together. I would still run with a Huberdeau-Kadri line so start with, and try Coronato or Sharangovich on the right side.
I think Huberdeau can rebound back to his mean production (90ish points). It's totally on him to do it though and I don't think he deserves a free pass for last season's performance.

Bennett and Duclair with both healthy scratches on their old teams...Huberdeau set an NHL assists record playing with them. Guy did have 24 goals the season before last.

Great we don’t have them and that line accomplished nothing. It isn’t that simple to say other lesser players worked with him so our lesser players will. If that were the case the NHL would be very easy.

My neighbour went golfing w Huberdeau this week.
He told me that he is highly motivated to prove people wrong. He wasn’t happy with the way last year went, and seeing both the Panthers and Tkachuk having success in the post-season, really stung. He is committed to turning it around in Calgary.
All words, but I hope we see him able to change the narrative.

Something to keep an eye on this week. StL will have a second buyout window open up with an arbitration case settled. They tried to move on from Krug in the aborted Philly deal. They have Krug (as well as Leddy and Faulk) who would fit the criteria for being bought out. Will Armstrong buy one of these guys out to make room for an addition? Will be interesting to see.

I said it last year and I know it didn't really make sense if people are only stat watching but I thought he needed a kick in the ass. Well, he got it, now it's all on him, he needs to be the best player on the team on a nightly basis. No more taking the rest of the game off after getting an assist on the PP or going MIA for weeks. I think he can do it, the skill is obviously there, it's all about the attitude.

He will have a system that makes sense this year too. I thought he dumped the puck into the corner as well as anyone last year and he tried along the boards but it is not really his game. I suspect the way the coaches want the players to play this year will work better for his skillset as well.
