I actually could see the Rangers doing it. There might be a conditional pick from the Flames that needs to be thrown in based on Hudlers performance this year, but it could actually happen.

More options for the Flames than I thought we'd have which is pretty exciting.

Does a deal around Stamkos for Bieksa and Kesler make any kind of sense?

I could see them being interested in a package built around Kesler, but why would they want Bieksa and his $4m cap hit (or whatever it is)?

Just pay Stamkos $10M instead

Anaheim is a budget team with two high priced super star forwards already. They can't really afford to pay Stamkos IMO.

Never mind the fact that a Bieksa/Kesler return would be terrible value for Tampa IMO.

Bieksa has negative value for sure. I would say Kesler has little to no value as of now. It will be in the negative very soon though with that contract.

It's not a matter of getting rid of. The opportunity to acquire a big, young #1 centre who can pot 35 goals doesn't come along very often, and you have to give to get.
