We have been the best team in MLB for 3.5 months
(And now you can all blame me when we lose 10/12 to end the season)

Trauma responses to sports are a normal response for many Canadian sports fans.

They need to stay ahead of the Astros to get the wild card bye, and 92 should be plenty for that as well. While the Astros have the tie-breaker, they also would need to win 13 of their last 15 to get 92 wins, which I think is pretty unlikely.

Since I wrote this they've won 4 in a row, so if they go 500 from here on out they'll have 94 wins. The Red Sox can't get to 95, and the Yankees would need to win all 12 of their remaining games. Neither the Mariners nor Astros could catch them if they get 94 wins either. They also have the season series vs the Tigers, so if they go 6-6 to finish off Detroit would need to go 10-2 to take the AL overall.
Probably the most important is the Yankees, and the magic number there is 7 with a combined 24 games played by the two teams.

What’s been interesting is they haven’t had like an awful losing stretch since they turned the corner.
Watching the other top teams (Tigers, Dodgers, Padres just as of late) they can lose like 4-5 games in a row.
Blue Jays bad stretches are like losing back to back series where they still grab a game in each of them.

At first I was wondering 97...the Jays were well into suck mode by that time. You must be thinking 1987....and the haunting of Doyle Alexander and his 9-0 run in 11 starts.
Although it was Frank Tananana who nailed that coffin on the last day of the season.

Jays finally get to a Rays pitcher pitcher early. Keep building that lead.

Wonder if any player will fall for Giménez's fake out where balls go to the outfield. He does it a lot

I think it's a stretch to call fan interference. Seems like a HR.

Berrios can be left off the post season roster. Just not a useful starting pitcher at this point when best case is what like 6 ip, 3-4 ER. And that’s best case on the flip side he can just lose you games.
