@corsi have you been able to find effectively priced one way car rentals into Canada from the US? While I agree the car itself would be fine, every time I've looked into this it has been exorbitantly expensive. (Like 3-4x the cost of a 1 way rental to Montana).

I don't think they will allow a one-way rental between two countries. I checked with National, where with my particular corporate rate they had reasonable one-way rentals (at least when I tried Palm Springs to Las Vegas). I did a quick query for Great Falls to Regina and they wouldn't allow it.

I've done one way rentals between two different countries before but never between the US and Canada. I have gotten US to Canada to price so I know its possible (although maybe not with National) but it was always very expensive (like +$2000 over a comparable distance trip within the USA or Canada).
Nah it was about 300 per day (2 days from here to Van). Not cheap obviously but not bad either.

My job, my company. I am not religious but I'm ready to start praying that I get hired at the jobs I applied for in Cape Breton. I desperately need a change
Dude I hope this works out for you.
I changed jobs in April of this year.
I had been with the same company for 12 years and hated my company and by extension my job and well most things in my life.
My new job is harder than my old job, but the company and I are aligned on our vision and approach to the job.
It has been a ####ing breath of fresh air.
I mean don't get me wrong, there are times it is ####ing hard as ####, but those around me are all pulling in the same direction and that helps.
Good Luck!

There are some positives to Twitter links not working for us Tapatalk users. Flip side is I have no idea what a lot of others are talking about either.

The increasingly tall wall of lights when a new pickup truck comes towards me in the dark are driving me crazy. I think it is the new Ford that has at least 3 layers stacked when their fog lights are on. I end up completely blinded for a few seconds as they are passing.

Nothing like being blinded by one of these oncoming christmas tree lit trucks when they have the nerve to actually flash you because they think my Model 3 has bright headlights.

Yeah I’ve started driving like I’m a pirate dipping down below deck. I keep one eye closed as I pass these knobs, and then open it. It sort of helps.
Never got to that point thankfully, looks like this Flair flight will get me back to Canada after all so problem more or less solved, Edmonton notwithstanding.

Kind of boring tbh. Can you go ahead and secure the Uhaul and go that route? Would be better for the rest of us.

I know, really anticlimactic version of Planes trains and Automobiles. Barely got out of plan A (which was fly to Edmonton and then fly to YXX; I'm driving from YEG to Calgary and flying from there tomorrow instead).
Apologies for not being more entertaining.

Good luck with the flight to YXX tomorrow. Looks like many flights in and out are still being cancelled so lots of uncertainty.
It’s not weather if it’s only Westjet cancelling flights. Assuming Westjet, based on the YYC departure board.
Westjet seems to have trouble dealing with weather. We had a flight to YVR cancelled in November and the reason was being "investigated." Called an agent to look at other options and was told it was due to a weather advisory in Vancouver.
That same weather didn't seem to affect the in-laws' Westjet flight out of Kelowna to Vancouver at roughly the same arrival time as ours. Other airlines also didn't seem to have the same issues with arrivals and departures in YVR.

if they keep stacking the lights on those monstrosities soon it will be like:
