- Once Darryl gets past the zombies inside, he encounters more inside.
- Darryl sees Beth's bag on the ground, and the car with the cross on the window speeding away.
- When Beth awakens in the hospital, she is told they saved her from being eaten by a group of zombies.
So it is quite possible that the funeral home was not a trap; at least not one set by the people in the hospital. If so, they could have been driving by, seen somebody in distress and stopped to help her.
Once she recovered, she was expected to contribute to the group.
From the hospital scenes I didn't really see anything to indicate that they had walkers at their disposal like Woodbury did; especially not something that far out of the city.

Well how did Beth end up injured? I'm pretty confident she was ok when she was at the funeral home, then when she wakes up she's in a hospital with a broken wrist (I think) and bumps and bruises.
Seems like her injuries were because of the people that took her, just like Carol. They only targeted people they thought wouldn't be able to challenge their power at the hospital, so I guess no I don't believe any of the people helping 'run' the hospital were overly good.

Who's going to watch "Cobalt"? They've apparently cast three main leads for the show.
CLiff Curtis as Sean Cabrera (series equivelant to Rick Grimes)
Frank Dillane as Nick Tompkins (reformed drug addict (possibly))
Alycia Debnam Carey as Ashley Tompkins

"They" rape women? Or 1 or 2 of the power hungry absolute leaders raped women? Most of the people at the hospital that weren't wearing cop uniforms (and even some that were) didn't seem like they were any worse than most of the main group. Just people trying to survive in a messed up situation that is well beyond their control.
I can only imagine the kind of mental illness that 90% of these people are going through at this point.

Where can I watch Season 5 Episode 1 and beyond? Netflix only has up to season 4 and Shaw on demand (for some stupid reason) only has episode 6, 7, and 8 up. I don't understand why Shaw wouldn't have the first 5 episodes.

At this point Rick and that divided group did not know Washington was a false hope and Geno lied.
Once they got out and met with the rest it was probably too late to go back in.
Take away the rapers out of the hospital group and it looked like a good place to stay (the rapers were gone anyways I think) Gorman and the dude Beth pushed.

Ran into a producer for the show today down here. We had an honest back and forth about the show and its strengths and weaknesses and we debated the merits of the first half. She said she couldn't talk about the second half or she would get fired, but she did say the upcoming episodes were her favorite to date. Take it for what it's worth.

If you have an iPhone get the Shaw on demand app. You can order way more on that than appears in the video on demand on your box.
After you order a show/movie on your phone, it will appear in the "my orders" section on your TV.

So I finally caught up to the series, but man it's hard to keep engaged in it when the writers just don't care about any kind of consistency. They violate physics more than any sci-fi series I've seen (that van landing, wow), make the zombies a dangerous threat in one episode and a simple nuisance in the next (and what's with the one going stealth on the preacher?), have people show up at exactly the right time and place with no coordination, and now apparently Carol has super regenerative healing powers
I want to get invested in the story, I want to just sit back, watch, and enjoy. But every few minutes I get jarred out of it because the writers are too lazy to make their script half believable (even for a zombie show)

Not at all. They just hooked her up to the machine that goes "BING!". That's what helped her heal up so fast.

Getting excited, only a few hours to go!
Anyone ever purchase episodes online, other than iTunes? I see the Sony Store has episodes, but I'm wondering how long until it is put up, 24hrs?

Sorry to see Tyrese go, but that episode sucked. The whole thing felt disjointed and repetitive, and 3/4 of the "plot" consisted of beating the viewer over the head with Tyreese's death hallucinations. I still really like the show and am generally willing to forgive a lot, but I expected a lot more than that from a mid season opener.

I was kind of thinking that they were trying to portray the mind as they are turning, but I was wrong.

Extremely disappointing episode. Way too much filler. Out of those 58 minutes, I'm pretty sure more than half of it was commercials.
The only redeeming quality was the cinematography.

Agree with most that it was pretty "meh."
What I did find interesting was that the gated community pretty much suffered the exact same fate that the prison did. Another group of living people came in and broke through the walls. Perhaps the next antagonist? Also the mystery of why someone went through the trouble to collect zombie torsos.
Anyways on to Washington!

I liked.
the slow motion shot of the gang taking down zombies when they bust out of town was as good as you'll see in any TV show. You can hate the writing or acting but you can never complain that they don't take the time to film things meticulously.
