Ya, you can often find them on Kijiji. Landscaping companies will advertise their leftovers there.

So part of what I'm planning to do as a project might impact the overhead utility service drops (shaw/telus) of a neighbor. I'm a little worried what I have planned will interfere with these.
I'd like to call and talk to someone at Shaw/Telus about this but don't what department to ask for. The customer service lines keeps thinking I'm asking for a new contract tries to route me to sales.
Anyone know of the right department / phone number / contact person I should be asking for at either of Shaw / Telus? TIA!

Tell them you need a service call to relocate a line. Worked for me with Shaw. When the guy gets there, then you can explain what you need.
For Telus, just cut the line with garden loppers.

Sorry, I don't quite know how to properly ask this question, but I'm looking for a heat resistant adhesive (double sided) to mount a glass pane on the front of an oven.
There is a front tempered glass panel on my stove that fell off. It seems that the glass panel just sits on a 2mm ish lip flat edge with no lip. It was originally held on using double sided tape of some sort that has since lost its adhesive properties (terrible design). Yesterday, when we opened the oven (luckily it was not hot) the glass pane fell right off the door.
Repair wise, I'm expecting to keep the stove for a few more years before replacing it with something newer looking, so a temporary solution is fine... however, I have nothing on hand that will work to repair, so I have to buy a solution anyways. The issue is basically cosmetic.
I was thinking of grabbing a double sided tape like "No more nails" for like $13 to mount and stick the glass pane back on for a total cost of like $15 or less all in.
Research wise, most heat resistant adhesives are silicone based, but I don't know if garden variety silicone works or not. These range in price from like $8-13 for silicone repair/silicone sealant and silicone kitchen and bath for which I don't know the difference. Some solutions, I'd have to buy a caulking gun to use.
I'm leaning towards the No more nails solution. Would this work? Or would the heat from the oven screw up the adhesive and I'd be back to square one relatively quickly?

I'd look into the stuff used for furnace exhaust. It's orange and probably $30 for a tube. Check the heat rating on it, but I suspect that would work

If they still make the oven, it might be worth seeing if they sell the replacement adhesive. Trail Appliances or someone like that might have a recommendation.

I previously posted about mud-jacking and asking for opinions on that because a corner of my garage floor has sunk a bit causing melt water to pool in a corner. I still haven't gotten around to getting that fixed.
I was sweeping out the garage today and there are some areas that are pitted quite bad, there are two pretty decent cracks and obviously the dunked corner. All that being said, I'm thinking it might be best just to replace the slab entirely. Does anyone have any idea what the cost might be for removal of an old slab and pouring a new one for a 24x24 garage? Can this be done for $5000?

Came home to find our 3 year old dishwasher leaking onto the floor.
Any trustworthy appliance repair shop suggestions?

Check the float switch in the bottom of the basin, mine got gummed up a bit and leaked. Was an easy fix to pop it out and clean it.

This happened to me and all I did was tighten the connection. It’s been 2 years since that easy fix with no problems.

Ugh. Dealing with leak from toilet water supply shut off valve. It was such a small leak, but it ran through the floor into the basement ceiling. Doesn’t look like any damage, but the water has left that ugly stain. Guess bleach and water?

I am not even sure if it’s painted? It’s knockdown texture.

Ha. That’s great. I am glad it wasn’t me asking before. This has happened before, but it was on popcorn ceiling and I just ended up scraping it and fixing up like speede suggested.

I'm pleased to say the only time I've needed the memory is to tell others. I've never had to try it myself yet.

Never heard of the bleach solution but sounds like a good option on those textured ceilings.

Haha! Awesome. Yeah no need to paint, do this a couple of times if needed and that stain will buggar off.
