The former Toledo Rocket deserves his shot. He made his case last year to be the guy heading into this season but Al Davis loves his big-armed QB. The last successful QB the Raiders had was far from a big-arm QB (Gannon). Gradkowski's performance was Gannonesque.

You are correct sir. My bad.

Which is why Houston is stupid for not going for the 52 yard FG.

And even dumber for the late hit on McNabb.

Really, really surprised by Kubiak's decision there.

Never thought I would see a Shanahan coached team with only 18 rush yds in a game.

A coaching decision that is directly responsible for your team missing a chance to win a game....entirely inexcusable.

I really hate that time out rule. It just doesn't seem like a fair way to play the game.

Time outs are there to be used whenever a team wants to. Nothing unfair about that stuff. All the guy had to do was kick it again...he failed.

It's the way it works as the coach can tell the umpire that they want a time out just before the snap. If they want to call a timeout to freeze the kicker it's one thing but to have the play execute and be called back because of a pre-meditated time out call just doesn't seem right. This isn't the way it's always been as it's a new rule.

So its OK to call a timeout anytime except when a kicker is about to kick?

A QB can call a TO with 1 second left on the play clock if he sees something he doesnt like...so can the coach for that matter. Or the defense.

What if the team trying to stop the FG sees an alignment that may lead to a fake..should they not be allowed to call a TO to change personel? What if they only have 10 guys on the field? A TO is a TO whenever its called. Again all the K had to do was kick the ball again...thats a"him" problem not a rule problem.

These are the kinds of games Houston would lose every year up until now. I really think they will make the playoffs this year. Next week will be the game IMO where they can really prove themselves facing a 0-2 Cowboys team @ home in Houston.

You don't understand the rule. I don't have a problem if the coach runs to the official and signals time out before the ball is snapped and the officials blow the whistle. The way this new rule works is he can tell them that he's wants a time out just as the ball is snapped so he doesn't have to time anything or signal time out. Basically the play gets executed and doesn't count. They have given coaches the power to cancel a play. It's dumb IMO and I'm not the only person that thinks that. There was nothing wrong with the old method of the coach or players signalling a time out.

I don't have a vested interest in the Redskins as I actually picked the Texans in my point spread but I just don't like this new rule.

This texans win puts pressure on the Colts to win tonight in a big way. If the Colts were to lose they would be 2 games back with one of those losses to the Texans. hard to overcome that believe it or not...as NFL history suggests.

And they should be facing a pretty fired up Giants team that can take an early stranglehold on the NFC East with both the Skins and Cowboys losing today...and the Eagles at 1-1.

As much as it helps the Dolphins that the Jets won, I would have rather had them lose, can't stand them. Oh well can't wait for next sunday, hopefully we'll run it down there throat all game like last year and hopefully we will bust out the orange jersies

I know it's been against the Chargers (slow starters) and Browns (just awful), but anyone else do a double take when they see the Chiefs at 2-0?
