Nope, and yet I'm still loyal enough to publically support my team instead making sad attempts at trolling other teams' fans. Wondering if you can say the same thing.

Oddly enough, not by Spurs fans I talk to though. The overbearing cheerleaders are the media who, as per usual, are sensationalizing and over-hyping things. Except for Bale that is, but they'll soon start over trumping him too.

A good portion of the whinging done by Arsenal supporters is due to this. They see their club get ripped by the media yet their biggest rivals do things they have been doing consistently for years but their rivals are being touted as the next big thing. The other reason why they/we whinge is because we're projecting our inadequacies.
I think it's because Spurs are new to the CL and Arsenal, like United and Chelsea are old.

And because Spurs play and attractive attacking brand of football (which they have for years really just never with this much talent since the early 90's) they are media darlings and are doing it sort of "the right way" i.e not the way City/Chelsea/United build their teams.

Which is the same way Wenger has done it at Arsenal, but like I said this Spurs success is new so its a bigger media story

It also doesn't hurt (media-wise) that Spurs have much more UK content in their lineup than Arsenal

Oh god, we are back to Arsenal vs. Tottenham? GREAT!!

Both teams seem to struggle at odd times during the season. Spurs beat Inter, which is a huge feat and you'd think they would be able to carry that momentum into league play, but they don't and fall flat on their face.

Arsenal, lose a pitiful match against Shaktar and are able to carry over that mediocre performace into the league. A very fragile team with a desperate need for a goalie.

Until one team wins somethin of importance they will both just be those other teams that trail the giants like Manchester United and Chelsea.

But if you want to carry on arguing who's team is better, please carry on.

Whats wrong with Darren Bent? injury wise

He was doing his usual talk before he goes against Spurs, this time saying Frazier Campbell is as good as Gareth Bale, but now I see that he's injured?

happy to see him not playing because he has had good games last year against them but I hadn't heard about his injury

Tweaked his hamstring in training on Friday, didn't play against Stoke either on the weekend.

this game is either going to end 0-0 or 4-0

Spurs are all over them but aren't finishing

Hah Bentley's one of the few Spurs players I really like, we'll have him in January please and thanks.. watching this game I gotta agree with the people in this thread talking about the media being on Tottenham's dink.. a misplaced pass by Van der Vaart and they talk about his great vision and teammates just not being on the same page, the same thing happens to Cattermole and it's simply a bad pass.. oh well bring on the second half!

its pretty much what happens when a team gets in the top 4

I used to notice the same thing the other way watching Spurs play Liverpool or Arsenal and hearing about the genius of Nicky Bendtnar or Ryan Babel

Haha true enough, a lot of it is merited anyways, I guess it's just still weird thinking of Spurs as a top 4 club even though they definitely are now

No, its not a penalty, Bentley kicked the ball away beyond any possibility of regaining control.

Now, from there you can decide for yourself if he went down easy trying to draw a penalty because he knew he wasnt getting the ball back, hence the yellow for diving. Personally, I dont feel that was a dive, but it also wasnt a penalty.

That being said, Spurs have to win this game. Talk about dominance. VdV should have like 3 goals already. I hate announcers, from the glancing header: "He really should have hit the target."

What? No kidding, but thats a 'glancing header' he did exceptionally well to do what he did, and he missed by CENTIMETRES. Leave it alone. Damned commentators think its so damn easy.
