Robinson from Michigan has been unreal the first 2 weeks. He's putting up ridiculous numbers, like EA Sports NCAA 2011 ridiculous!

Yeah he is a bit of a freak and has quickly inserted himself in early Heisman talk. That being said...he will see some serious defenses in the coming weeks (after a couple more creampuffs) where we can see how good he really is.
One suggestion to Tennesee...quit scheduling PAC 10 teams early in the season....it kills your whole season every time.
OSU looked really good at times yesterday especially on defense, but I am still not buying them as one of the top 2 teams in the whole country. Pryor is their entire offense and that is hard to shoulder for a whole year.
Alabama is impressive. Again. They play Duke next week who scored 48 points yesterday...and lost. That game should be as ugly as any D1 game this year sans whoever WSU plays.
The ACC sucks. Period. The PAC 10 look to be not much better and the Big 10 not much better than that. Does the Big East even matter anymore?

Let's not forget that many of the same things were being said around this time last year about Tate Forcier after he led Michigan past Notre Dame too (although Robinson clearly has more physical tools than Forcier).
Notre Dame is a middle of the road team in the country at best. Let's see what the kid does against Iowa, Wisconsin, Penn St, Ohio St, etc. first.

Me too on the FBS thing. I don't like that scenario.
Is MSU's QB a true freshman? I obviously didn't see the game, but I came away thinking MSU has a pretty good thing going offensively.

McGhee beat out the senior QB that had played most of last season, Cody Kempt. A bit of a surprise coming a few days before the first game.
The FSN announcers were marveling at the team speed of MSU, which came as a bit of a shock to me.

I don't think Bama's defense is as good as everyone is making it out to be. PSU had the chances and bama got the turnovers made by frosh mistakes.
The bama secondary isn't the best in the world and the next three weeks will test it.

It's also likely that the 1-A programs wanted to convert him to WR or DB, but he wanted to give QB a legitimate shot.

Florida WR Chris Rainey arrested and to me after hearing the 911 call sounds like her sister
1. doesn't want her sister dating a black man
2. Is a complete idiot. Seriously she doesn't even know his last name?
I really think this was blown waaaaaaayyyyy out of proportion
Here is the 911 call
http://www.theledger.com/article/201...is-Rainey-Case
seriously though, I thought for sure this would be a screaming for bloody murder call but it sounds like her sister doesn't want her white sister dating a black man...

Really? If this part is true I disagree.

Rainey later sent a text to the woman that said "Time to Die B---- u and ur.

But when she told Rainey police wanted to speak to him, Rainey's response was, "Wait and see what happens when they leave

That's some pretty serious stuff there, and even if she didn't actually feel threatened I don't know that I'd consider an arrest based on statements like that to be overkill.

this kid has never done anything wrong. Has no record.
I also wonder how many people on here have stated that they were going to kill someone. Doesn't matter if they meant it as a joke or as if they wanted to kick their asses.
I think the arrest is warranted but the way the media is crushing this is pathetic. 30 arrests under meyer... What is this guy suppose to do? Tuck everyone into bed at night? Also most of these arrests are petty little things that wouldn't make the paper if they were not top athletes.
Gainesville PD is known as being zero tolerance. Other cities let a lot of petty stuff go.(this isn't petty)
Hell alabama had a player shot last year and is that being discussed? why isn't there a big deal about gang violence? (it was)

When you get into threats like that made to on again off again girlfriends you are crossing into completely different territory.
I don't think Rainey is a bad kid, and I don't blame Meyer for this at all. I'm an MSU fan, we had our own issue with guys getting into a dorm room brawl last season so I know exactly where you're coming from with the finger pointing and blaming of the coaches etc. I think the coaches share the blame, but you can't expect them to control a bunch of kids who are treated like royalty 24/7.

heck man at the hotel I work at we had a elite 7 on 7 hs football tourney this summer and well most of these kids had big time offers from schools like Alabama, Florida, FSU, UGA, UT, OU, Iowa,OSU,USC, (actually a USC commit qb was there) and they absolutely trashed the hotel.
Leaving garbage in the hall, Playing catch in the hallways, trying to scare me into giving them the master key, just plain bad.
They also didn't like it when I told them to STFU and get in the rooms at 3am because people were complaining. They pulled the "you know who I am" card like I cared.
I know a lot of these kids well the majority are good kids but the top 1% is going to have this issue because they come from areas that are well to be blunt crappy.

I agree that it's way overblown. If Rainey calls the police to report his girlfriend making the exact same statements to him nothing happens.
Also what college kid doesn't drink?
