That was an entertaining match.

Heads up; Blythe Hartley dives in the womens' 3M springboard final later this morning. She finished 10th out of 12 qualifiers but she's got a lot better in her.

I think it starts around 6:30 am MST.

hot women AND a great match, doesn't get much better than that. i actually find the indoor volleyball to be much more entertaining than on the beach, they can get much better rally's going with more players

oh, and if you think the Polish team was nice, you should have seen the shorts that the Venezuelan team wore. they were skimpier than what the beach volleyballers wear

Wow..........that was close. Great race, girls. Looked like a gold or silver for a bit, but the Dutch (yay!) and Finns came on strong. Good on the girls for hanging on!!!

I find beach volleyball not very entertaining at all. So many soft shots and not very many rallies. Can't blame them though. How hard is it to jump in the sand.

Elliot Friedman should sign up for rec league vball to learn some of the rules. He was not very good

One of the coolest/oddest jobs (at least to me) at the Olympics must be either the guy running to measure/pick up javelins while it's still in the air or the guy on his moped starting indoor cycling races.

Wow, great result. Of all five Canadian teams to make the finals, this was the one I least expected to medal. Could end up being a huge day for Canada.

I don't want to jinx them but I think the men's 8 (in a few minutes) will get atleast the silver if not the gold. They are a favorite in that race.

There's a bit of a controversy about the Men's Shot Put event where Canada's Dylan Armstrong placed 4th, 1 centimetre out of a bronze medal.

If you watch this youtube video (which is really choppy, but I think still plants the seed of doubt), it looks like the judges mark the wrong spot when he makes his longest throw.
Judge for yourself I suppose.

TSN also has a story about it on their front page.

Yeah, that looks like a good 10cm off, let alone one. Looks like he was marking another divot.
