Yes.. once you get over that.

Here's how you post a SOAP request.

Code:
	NSURL* exportURL = [NSURL URLWithString:[escapedUrl stringByAddingPercentEscapesUsingEncoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]];
	NSMutableURLRequest* request = [NSMutableURLRequest requestWithURL:exportURL];

	[request setHTTPMethod:@"POST"];
	[request setValue:@"text/xml; charset=utf-8" forHTTPHeaderField:@"Content-Type"];
	[request setValue:@"\"http://tempuri.org/GetAvailableProducts\"" forHTTPHeaderField:@"SOAPAction"];

	NSMutableString* postData = [NSMutableString stringWithString:@"<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"utf-8\"?>"];
	[postData appendString:@"<soap:Envelope xmlns:xsi=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance\" xmlns:xsd=\"http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema\" xmlns:soap=\"http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/\">"];
	[postData appendString:@"<soap:Body>"];
	[postData appendString:@"<GetAvailableProducts xmlns=\"http://tempuri.org/\">"];
	[postData appendString:@"</GetAvailableProducts>"];
	[postData appendString:@"</soap:Body>"];
	[postData appendString:@"</soap:Envelope>"];

	[request setHTTPBody:[postData dataUsingEncoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]];

	NSString* dataLength = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%d", [postData length]];
	[request setValue:dataLength forHTTPHeaderField:@"Content-Length"];

	[request setTimeoutInterval:20.0];

	if( myURLConnection != nil )
	{
		[myURLConnection release];
	}

	// released later..
	myURLConnection = [[NSURLConnection alloc] initWithRequest:request delegate:self startImmediately:YES];

Slingplayer for iphone and ipod touch is being released sometime between 10PM and 4AM Calgary time tonight! It will cost $30 like other slingplayer mobile apps, but sadly, it will not support 3G (because AT&T whined about it).

http://www.engadget.com/2009/05/12/s...99-no-3g-supp/

Also, slingplayer lifted the ban on older slingboxes working with the iphone. If you have an older slingbox, they just won't give you tech support.

$30 is a lot for an app. But I don't have a laptop, so I may just get it.

Yep. These cell companies are nothing but roadblocks to progression.

(As if that isn't stating the obvious.)

Haven't read the whole thread, sorry if this was covered. My Ipod touch won't connect to my WiFi, it asks for the password which I enter, then I just keep getting a message that it cannot connect? Any thoughts or suggestions?

Do you have to authorize a new device on your main computer/router?

Castle Conflict is a new game that came out for iPhone and iPod Tocuh recently. It's developed by a Calgary Company (Broken Kings) and seems to be getting a bit buzz. It's a $1.99 so it's a pretty cheap purchase.

For those looking for more of a backstory for the new Star Trek movie, there is an app called Star Trek Countdown. It's a set of 4 comics showing the gap between nemesis and the movie.

99 cents per comic. Not the cheapest but the series is pretty good. And I'm sure it's available free through other means.

It's pretty simple and only takes a few minutes.

So I just got a white screen of death. Hard reset and it is fine now. Do you guys and gals think it is worth my time to take it to the Apple store? Furthermore the lock button seems to be half stuck. Does that alone make it worth it?

Edit: And if I do take it in should I back up my apps?

Sync your phone before you take it in. If you get a new one, then you can restore it based on the last time you synced the previous phone.

Jailbreaking has been mentioned. How does one go about doing that? Maybe I'll google it but I'm reluctant to try something like that with my limited knowledge.
