Eating salary on an expiring contact especially when Philly isn’t competing for the playoffs this year has close to 0 value, so it’s most definitely going to be a pick rather than retention

Frost is sort of a Craig Conroy-type when Conroy was a player.

There's got to be another major piece coming from the Flames, A second or more?

Flames obviously aren’t rebuilding if picks and prospects are being sent out.

Honestly would need some time to digest. You upgrade the team immediately and in the future. Which is great.
But then you’re counting on quantity of picks to land some elite players (which you still badly need) vs. quality high picks.
I’m probably staying away from the instant analysis on this and try to see the long term plan.

Not sure what they are adding but that is a pretty deep forward group with no real superstars when healthy
Huberdeau Kadri Sharangovich
Farabee Frost Zary
Coleman Backlund. Coronato
Lomberg Pospisil. Klapka

When Zary is back, this will push Backs down to the 4th line. Where he probably belongs now.

Is Ryan Ellis still on their books? Maybe they will eat all his contract, good way to use cap space.

still wonder why Torts seemingly had little time for Frost. Still young, solid middle six center already, defensively sound by all accounts. Not like he's the prototypical all flair, no 200ft game player that Torts hates. What am I missing?
Either way, feels like he's been part of trade rumours to Calgary for ages ... glad it finally happened. Been intrigued by his upside since he shredded the OHL.

Was hoping for only one pick. Well I guess it depends what they are.

I would think he has value just based on his skillet and age.

The Flyers get the clear cap space for next year by swapping Farabee for Kuzmenko.

25 and 24 isn’t a futures deal in then new nhl. You have 2-3 years to make it work with 30 point players.
