Went to the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre tonight in Victoria and there was no shortage of goals as the Chiefs pummeled the Royals 9-6 tonight. Good crowd of just over 6,000 in attendance.

Hurricanes with a 4-0 lead going to the 3rd, see if they can hold it this time.

Royals with a 4-1 lead after two periods tonight, the series shifts back to Spokane for game 6 and game 7 if necessary.

Pretty terrible reffing here in the 3rd as the refs try to get Calgary back into this game.

Everett looks like they'll force a game 7 in their series.

I think I just heard that shots on goal this period are 14-1 for Spokane.
Edit: Going to OT.

Canes win 5-1 and force game 7
Gustafson left the game though, but he left when it was 4-0 so maybe he'll be back for game 7
I heard Braillard is done for the year for Lethbridge and also Howe for Calgary apparently

Just noticed that game 7 for the Hitmen and Canes isn't until Wednesday. Why 3 days off? Weird.
Pretty sure game 1 of round 3 will be Friday in Med Hat, so these teams get 3 days off now before playing game 7, then one day off to travel to med hat and prepare for the Tigers. Very strange but im sure the Tigers like that.

Gus looked in quite a deal of pain. The Hitmen totally broke down on the ensuing play, the goal light went off before the Cane could finish his shot, it was practically a sure goal.

Yeah, I ref and I can appreciate how hard it is to get everything right. It really is super easy to miss infractions but I was embarrassed with the officiating in the 3rd. It's fun for fans to join in on the "ref you suck" chants, but those chants were deserved.
I wonder if Wetsch faces more discipline, as he was being escorted off the ice he tried to go after a Cane again. I didn't see all of it but I think he broke free from a linesman to do so.

From what I heard about Gus is that it's his back again which is really a tough blow for the Canes. Braillard's eye is starting to look better, but I would be very surprised if he's back before the finals.
It was great to finally see some intensity in this series as the previous games had been tight without much going on. I think it's better for the Calgary to stay away from that stuff, but Lethbridge can implode just as easily. As long as Lethbridge continues to have horrible turnovers at the blue line, this won't be a game, but we'll see what game 7 brings

One game 7 tonight between Portland and Everett while the Victoria Royals try to force a game 7 in Spokane tonight versus the Chiefs.

Portland has eliminated Everett winning game 7 by a 4-2 score. Meanwhile in Spokane, the Royals and Chiefs are going to OT tied at 4-4. Spokane wins and they advance to play Portland, if Victoria wins, then they force a game 7 on Wednesday night.

I'd never have thought Portland would take Everett out, especially after Everett won games 1 and 2.
Portland keeps ruining my bracket picks.
I'll give them one more chance and pick Spikane to beat them in 6 games.

With Everett being eliminated last night, the Tigers are the top seed remaining in the WHL playoffs, but first things first. There's a game 7 between Lethbridge and Calgary tonight to determine who will take on Medicine Hat in the Eastern Conference final.
