I knew the Irish D could hang, and offence would move the ball a bit on the ground. But I figured overall they'd struggle to move the ball (especially through the air) and once Georgia finally made a couple plays, ND wouldn't be able to keep up. Very impressed with them after that game.

Brutal seeing Jeremiyah Love go down in the 2nd half, hopefully he's ok for next week...they're going to need him. Go Irish!

Agreed. Interesting that none of the 4 teams that received a first round bye advanced and ironically the one that came closest (Az State) was the lowest ranked of the four.

I think they got the right 12 teams, but need to refine the seeding process.

Yeah I don’t really think they had the best 12 teams but I also don’t think that’s the intention. Part of the deal is to give an opportunity to the teams that roll through an easier schedule and give them a chance to prove themselves. I don’t really think SMU was deserving but beyond that, I don’t have issue with the teams that made it. The seeding could be tweaked for sure, but maybe that gets handled by going to 14 teams.

But we're 100% getting more. I pray it stops at 16, but with how much money is out there I can envision 24 or even 32 teams eventually.

Well aside from speculation, 14 is on the table and has been discussed publicly for 2026. They want to see how the 12 teams work apparently. Aside from the crappy games, the on campus games were an awesome idea. Give it some time and fix the seeding and those games are going to be memorable.

The Div. 1 champioship goes tonight and if you haven't watched these teams, do yourself a favor and tune in.

Montana St. routinely puts up 40 pts or so, and likely will again tonight.

The Stampeders signed Tommy Mellott to a exclusive negotiations contract a few weeks ago, whatever that is. The Great Falls Montana Grizzly going after the Bobcat from Butte.

Watched the second half, that was a pretty entertaining game.

Edit to add technically this is the NCAA national championship game since the FBS games operate outside the NCAA in terms of awarding championships.

This kind of feels like a consolation final. Both these teams probably lose by 3+ TDs to Ohio State. Against Texas they'd have a better chance, but still probably lose by double digits.

I have no idea who this Notre Dame backup QB is, but so far looks like easily the best QB we've seen tonight. Just some ass cheeks QB play.

I don’t think this version of Notre Dame has a shot. Maybe if they were healthy. Missing too many key guys to have a chance.
