They should no longer allow advance voting everywhere

The UCP had the election in their hand guaranteed and have proceeded to do everything possible to give the election to the NDP.

The Liberals are even worse. They went from official opposition to only running a handful of candidates and nobody wanting to be their leader.

I think the NEP and Pierre permanently killed the Liberals here. The left should pull a Sask Party and merge.

Wonder if they held back on early voting results right at 8 or whenever so there wasn’t a mirage one way or the other.

CBC “still early but a win is a win”

Like, no. It’s actually not a win.

What’s going on with with a ton of ridings reporting single digit votes? Like, a bunch of risings are reporting literally one vote. I’ve watched a lot of elections and never seen that before. Are they testing the system or something?

I think the real thing we’ve learned so far is Edmonton is faster at counting votes than Calgary.

Let’s pick it up, Calgary poll workers. Don’t you know Edmonton is no good??

No one listens to the biased, main stream, left wing media.

Well, that's where things become opinionated. Do you feel that our system is slow due to being inefficient or underfunded? Personally, I believe it to be a combination of both. Throwing more money towards the system doesn't equal straight dollars to doctors. It goes all over and there's a lot of bureaucracy involved.

Hence why I feel opening up semi-privatization is our quickest and fastest way out. Allowing them in brings in private dollars invested directly into the areas of need. And I feel like it only benefits those who rely on the public sector as those with the means to pay for those services will do so.
I get where you are coming from and don’t believe that you’re being insincere but I think most of the shortfalls in how you would like to see it work are already being exposed in our semi-private long term care sector where portions of tax dollars given to operators allocated to cover wages are not being paid out in wages but kept as profits while said operator is charging user fees. If a government or party promoting private or semi-private practice actually had a plan to address that first I would feel much more open to looking at private options as a solution. Otherwise we’re likely going to end up in a situation where our tax dollars are subsidizing a new healthcare system that isn’t saving us money or guaranteeing better outcomes.

Voting everywhere. So one vote in another box reporting. Like if I was voting in Lethbridge for my candidate in Calgary-West

NDP have flipped Varsity. Two unanswered votes to make it 2-1 in a real nailbiter!

Yup. If the semi-private/private solution requires insurance as the middleman then you are recreating US healthcare and shifting the money to a private player. Healthcare seems to have a lot of administrators versus actual providers. How do you start fixing that?

They were very close to winning a few times but in the end you're right that their name stopped them from getting over the finish line. NDP face the same uphill battle with so much federal baggage.
