Adams numbers are bolstered by playing the Stamps defense. The rest of the league has him figured out for the most part.

Yeah, while I'm happy "bubble" calibre players have more pro options to continue their career if they can't stick on an NFL roster, all these new U.S. leagues are only making the quality of QB up here worse.

I find the first couple weeks can usually be sloppy due to the fewer pre-season games they play up here compared to NFL, almost feels like the first couple reg season games ARE preseason. But still, this is problematic..

Adams is not a good QB, just took 3+ quarters for him to score a TD against Edmonton and that is with their defense having to play a double game with the offense going 2 and out so often giving them zero relief.

Collaros is the only quality QB in the league and while he is good he is far from the all-time greats or even the all-time very goods.

I believe there was only 8 TD passes thrown in all 4 games this weekend. 3 of them from Trevor Harris.

Every second of CFL football I've watched looks like complete and utter trash.

Ottawa doesn't even have a offensive touchdown and 1 touchdown so far in 2 games.

5/8 passing TD came from 1 game.

Attendance and ratings down the toilet and the product pushing people probably to the NFL.

The CFL is in trouble.

Can't believe they are discussing expansion.

I don't think they're in trouble, I think they're toast. I think the ball was rolling years ago thru various mistakes and lack of initiative and forward thinking of fan support.

Covid plus start up US leagues has excellerated the death of such a wonderful and unique league. There's no coming back from where they're headed. They've lost the influx of quality American players, they've lost the ratings, they've lost the in person fans, they're done.

It's just a matter of what the death looks like and how long it takes as the old school fans are still alive and somewhat supporting.

The CFL needs to figure out how to put a better product on the field. The NFL did it by making QB’s and receivers untouchable which has greatly expanded the passing game.

I don’t want the CFL to do the same — our officiating is bad enough — but I think they need to consider it. Another option is to tweak the ratio so that the offence can have more imports compared to the defence. People want to see offence and points, not punts and two-and-outs.

The CFL can't even keep a proper stats page. They changed it in the offseason and it's been a disaster. Even when it's updated it's barely legible as they have these tiny fonts almost like it was designed for mobile devices. Randy Ambrosie is sealing the CFL coffin one nail at a time.

They can tweak the rules all they want but unless they can get quality QBs in I can't see it making much of a difference. Take Maier for example even if you let the receivers run free without defenders he still would miss 50% of the passes beyond 10 yards.

I don't know how they will be able to do it and I think the NFL changes to how they evaluate QBs and keeping more QBs on the roster might have spelled the end for CFL, but they need to figure out how to get better QBs in. Without quality Qbs the league is done.

I don't think the NFL made QBs/WRs untouchable to upgrade the product, the product was strong before that. I think it was more fallout from what new studies were showing about CTE, combined with retired players with health problems suing the pants off the NFL over it.

As much as it was needed for player safety and has increased scoring, it's also gotten the refs even more involved, and thus leads to more chances for Vegas-shenanigans occurring. Especially with how heavy gambling is pushed in sports these days. It wasn't all plusses IMO

This doesn't look good:

Begelton, Henry, Vaughters and Wall either DNP or limited participation.

Hopefully it's just precautionary and they'll be back later in the week.

lol yeah, literally everything about the way the CFL markets itself is a failure.

How is their website SO bad? It's insane. Hire a high school kid, he'd do a better job. Logos matter. Access to #### people want to see matters. It should be front and centre and visible. Make it pretty, put in a little effort.

This is a pretty sad state of affairs to be honest. I've been a CFL fan as long as I can remember, but these past few years the quality of play has dropped like a stone, the league can't get a stats package to work 2 weeks into the regular season, production quality on TV is, at best, meh and the on field project is getting worse by the week.

Hard to see how this league lasts more than another year or two at this rate, unless the Saudis all of a sudden decide to bail it out because Trudeau covers up a journalists murder for them.

I think we are probably in the last decade of CFL football (as we know it at the very least) so enjoy it while it lasts.

Well in better (personal) news anyway, I'm going to the game on Saturday and am super fired up for it!! Never got to a game last year sadly, that's rare.

Stamps vs Riders, it's the Mid Bowl.
