Forget about the Netflix doc series, get people to watch that match and effort from Andy to get them hooked on tennis.

The answers are:
#1 Lleyton Hewwit - The 2001 US Open Champ
#2 Gustavo Kuertan - The 2001 French Open Champ
Both lost in the first round
In fact none of the top 5 made it past round 2
#3 Andre Agassi (withdrew)
#4 Yevgeny Kafelnikov (second round)
#5 Sebastien Grosjean (second round)

Each episode of the Netflix doc series is around 50 minutes long, if you binge watch it, that'll take close to 5 hours

Love Murray's effort here.
If those fools say that Murray and Wawrinka are the same because they both won 3 Slams, you can show them 2023 Aus open and how much more of a fighter Murray is.

Murray was a great player who would have had a long run of greatness had he not been derailed by injury. Wawrinka was more of a "short high peak" guy who was just unbelievably elite for a short period of time and would go on a run where he could somehow green light everything without missing. Peak Wawrinka beats peak Murray, IMO, and he had the highest highs. But Murray had the better career overall.

Fat Stan only has himself to blame. If he were better conditioned from day 1, his body may have held up far longer and he would have been a much better defender.
Murray is just a completely relentless and tireless champ that loves to suffer. Far superior player.

The upcoming RBA - Murray match is going to be very interesting. RBA also had a five set marathon eliminating Tracy Austin's son, so both guys will be running on fumes going into this one.

back when the Big 3 used to be the Big 4, it usually took one of Fed, Rafa or Djoker to stop Murray. the way he consistently met them in the finals and semis of so many big tournaments actually obscures his greatness. in a more "normal" era he easily achieves Agassi/Lendl tier

that 5 set match was just under 3 hours, not 5 hours 45

Agassi had one of the all time great service returns and outstanding ground strokes from both sides. Lendl had a power and fitness game in a finesse era. Murray is like the all season tire of tennis. Good at almost everything but great at nothing. I don't think he ever had the weapons or overall game to be considered amongst the all time greats. I do agree in an era void of great players he would have had a world number one reign similar to Lleyton Hewitt but Agassi and Lendl were better players straight up.

This is going to be a tough one for Andy coming off of that marathon. RBA is a similar kind of fighter and player in a lot of ways, albeit not nearly as talented.
If he can get through this match the draw really opens up nicely for him all the way to the QFs.
