He's the team's 27th best ranked prospect so it would be really sweet if he could make the team at some point this season.

Any chance Baltimore trades Mullins? I am just thinking they might move him while his value is as high as it will probably get.
He is that lefty bat we need, I doubt he hits 30 homeruns again, but I would settle for 20.

I heard the Rays might be willing to move Austin Meadows…whether they would trade him to a division rival or not I don’t know.

Meadows would be alright, good power, but everything else is below average. They are probably scared of the ARB result for him.

They have power bats. If they target a 2b or a bench bat that is a lefty, I'd bank on contact being more important .

If they're looking for handedness balance then they wouldn't be looking for a 2B... Biggio is they're only LHH so going out and getting a lefty 2B is more a stand pat move. Biggio can play LF as well but then you may as well just go out and target a LHH outfielder.
I mean there are qualitative upgrades at 2nd that you can make but that doesn't really impact your handedness.
Incidentally here are the career splits for Biggio/Español...
Biggio:
Platoon Splits
Split G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS
vs RHP 219 579 98 134 28 2 27 79 100 174 .231 .345 .427 .771
vs LHP 153 245 36 60 15 1 4 24 49 88 .245 .377 .363 .740
Espinal:
Platoon Splits
Split G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS
vs RHP 78 156 28 42 9 1 2 14 19 28 .269 .350 .378 .729
vs LHP 69 126 14 43 8 0 0 9 7 18 .341 .376 .405: .782
That works.

Yeah I think the platoon of Biggio and Espinal will be fine at 2B. I think Biggio is a good candidate for a bounce back season, and Espinal put on 15 pounds in the offseason and is concentrating on driving the ball more this year.
If we add a lefty bat it will be as a DH or OF. Then one of Grichuk or Gurriel will be traded for pitching.

Yeah, I think Biggio/Espinal is fine at 2nd.
Go get a massive bat for DH (who can OF or 1B on occasion)
And get another closer

It'd have to be pitching with options left... we're pretty full up on pitching too. I assume Pearson and Stripling are going to be multi-inning relievers/6th Starters to give Ryu and Kikuchi an occasional 6th day of rest and the rest of the bullpen is presumably...
Jordan Romano
Tim Mayza or Ryan Borucki
Yimi Garcia
Julian Merryweather
Adam Cimber
Trevor Richards
All bona-fide big leaguers (except maybe Mayza and Borucki). The rotation is as set as set can be.

Orelvis absolutely demolished one too.
Crazy to think how good this team is offensively, how young the core still is, and they still have guys like Moreno, Orelvis and Groshans just a year or two away.

Chapman HR today.
Listening to Buck for the first time this Spring, wonder if he will still be doing Toronto home games remotely, given, I believe, his non vax status. Or if they just have Shulman do all those games?
