Honestly...not even mad Ovi scored.

Yes it's against the Flames, and yes he tied it up, but I want him to be #1 All Time Scorer so...

Some team we have.
Period 1 had some shakey moments that the caps didn't capitalize on, and Period 2 had some exciting moments the Flames didn't capitalize on.

It's been a back-and-forth game in terms of momentum.

If someone told you the Flames would be tied in Washington, after 2 periods...

Would you take it?

On the flip side, poor puck management , battles lost, poor D reads and awareness.
3-0 lead vanishes.

Here they are...20 min showdown.

Stand up, Sit down , or Get out of the way.

F that, he doesn't have it tonight and his confidence is already shot. We need to secure at least a point here. He is a pro, it isn't going to destroy him.

Vladars 1st reg season game. I'm gonna defend him here. Team in front of him shat the bed in the 2nd. Would it be nice to get a bail out save? Yeah of course but some really really bad play in front of him on all 3 goals.

Caps didn't expose Vladar, the Flames left him exposed.

I want to win multiple games. And there’s no reason they can’t win the third like they did the first.

This is why the Flames don’t develop goalies. No patience.

A third for Zadorov and a third for Vladar. The early returns on these trades are not good.

Against a good team in their barn, it's not easy to go up by 3 early and try to lock it down for the rest of the game.

You know they're going to press hard. Good enough to be even going into the 3rd.

Hopefully Vladar isn't shook.

He’s a pro with only a few NHL games. Give him a shot to work through it.

There would be less dooming if it were a see-saw game of trading goals, but to give up a large lead yet again is a tough one to swallow.

The Flames are still in this one. They're playing well enough to win, but they need the next goal.

Yeah, I didn't Sutter say that he doesn't like to pull goalies?

Well, good news is that another rough 2nd period for this team is over. For whatever reason they just lose their minds in 2nd periods, need to figure out what they are doing or thinking after 1st periods and correct it.

Now just have to get back to playing aggressive and getting the puck in the other zone. They can still win this.

I’m pretty sure having a confident backup is more important over the long term when it comes to winning.

That would be so typical Flames, like they did with Rittich when he was not on. How did that work out? I remember a bunch of losses. Make the change.
