Giving him that three year extension before the year probably wasn't the greatest idea.

If United ever realize that Ole is the issue though, the league is in trouble.

What? No way...sign that man for Life!
Ole can only leave when Ole wants to leave!

I don't think you guys need to worry about that any time soon, United have been pretty hesitant when it comes to these things and right now I don't see an obvious choice available either. But I do wonder how long his leash actually is ... they gave him that stupid extension before the season and let him spend a lot of cash this summer, so that would suggest he's pretty safe. On the other hand, signing Ronaldo, Sancho and Varane shows serious ambition, and the quality on the sidelines should reflect that. It quite obviously doesn't, and the club has to be aware of that. I mean, how can you bring in those players and actually regress?
Recent performances are worrying, to say the least. Last six games:
CL - Young Boys (A) 1-2
PL - West Ham (A) 2-1
CC - West Ham (H) 0-1
PL - Aston Villa (A) 0-1
CL - Villareal (H) 2-1
PL - Everton (H) 1-1
that's a pretty shocking run just based on results, but it's even worse when you consider the performances. The win against West Ham was down to De Gea saving a pen in extra time, the Villareal win was down to a Ronaldo goal in extra time and they could have easily lost today (the offside goal). They were arguably second best in any of those games ... De Gea has had to save their asses numerous times. It's pretty unbelievable when you look at the squad that Solskjaer has at his disposal, there really are no excuses for serving up this dross.
Solskjaer was a decent bridge appointment to clean up Mourinhos mess and take the club back to the top 4. He's done that, but now, with all that investment, there's going to be more pressure and it's time to take the proverbial next step. And all I see is a manager who's out of his depth and out of ideas ... I certainly don't see a manager who can lift this team to win anything. United will take a long time to realize that and act, of course, which is a damn shame.
Next 10 games are pretty rough, too.
PL - Leicester (A)
CL - Atalanta (H)
PL - Liverpool (H)
PL - Tottenham (A)
CL - Atalanta (A)
PL - Man City (H)
PL - Watford (A)
CL - Villareal (A)
PL - Chelsea (A)
PL - Arsenal (H)
curious to see where the club stands after that.

I know we often discuss chequebook managers, but imagine where Ole would be without all that money? Oh, right. We saw that with Cardiff City already!

They haven’t really beaten anyone though. Spurs gave them the win in half an hour and they beat two brutal teams. Today they scraped a draw, but were not the better team and the conditions were not good. It’s great, because it might give them hope that they’re not that bad, but anyone watching knows that is a terrible team. I know I’m biased, but seriously I don’t think that’s just my bias showing here.

He deserves until christmas at the least, unless there is a massive losing streak
Hes had to completely reshape the team with Ronaldo coming in, something that was last minute and not planned, hes also missing rashford. I assume when healthy the big game front 4 is rashford, Fernandes, ronaldo, sancho.
The spending wasnt panic buys or anything either, sancho and varane are building blocks for the next 5+ years. Varane and maguire complement each other so well as a partnership.
I dont even know who would be the next in line. Poch? Zidane? Conte? Rodgers?
None of them are perfect fits.

Zidane, I think would work.
Also, piling on your Townsend comments earlier, and how poor is his self awareness?! After Fred gets rinsed, and Andros scores, he does the Siuuuu…. And after the match, he asks Ronaldo for a jersey swap. Get yourself sorted lad.

I didn’t see the request for the jersey swap, but I will admit that I laughed pretty hard when he did the celebration. I assumed that was coming back to bite him as soon as I saw it though.

Watford sack their manager after 7 pts in 7 games? I mean, how much better are you expecting if you are watford and from that group of players... if they didn't have Ismaila Sarr they would for sure be in the bottom 3 quality teams in the prem.
Seems like a dangerous move to me, if they go on an actual bad run now you lose the managerial shakeup as an option. I could see them going down if sarr leaves in the winter window.

They've gotta get Milner off. Get someone else on there.
Foden is dragging Milner all over the place. You need some younger legs back there.

Old Man Milner absolutely got away with that.

Mo Salah just undressed City's entire back 4.
And Pep is livid.

The last 30 minutes was reminiscent of that 2-1 Man City win in 2019 in terms of intensity, just both teams playing full throttle and it was beautiful to watch.

Ha! Foden and Milner sharing a joke and a hug. Love it.
That game was full on High Octane.

Honestly even when they have good results it’s in spite of Ole, just due to the talent they can put on the pitch.
Great game this morning. I hate both teams though so happy for them to split the points.

This ought to go over well. The Glazers are selling more shares and made it clear that none of the proceeds are going to the club: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/58811651
