The French feed from TVA Sports is decent. The problem is that Shaw Cable does not offer it. Viewers in western Canada can only get it through Bell and Shaw Direct satellite.

Haha, stupid Oilers!

I didn't see the game, but it sounds like the Jets had Dubois back in the lineup. That's good to hear. Ehlers is still listed as day to day, so hopefully he can get back in soon and help his team sweep the Greasers.

This.

Smith is just a terrible goalie, every time I watch him I scratch my head.

Look at his left heel when the shot is taken… it’s over the goal line. What in the #### the guy is 55’ out!

He’s just standing on his goal line basically when they enter. It’s almost as if he picked up goaltending, never watched someone else play the position, never read about the position, and never practiced any fundamentals out side of stick handling. He’s a bum. Who gets lucky sometimes.

I did not hear any commentary from the CBC panel (Cassie) when Lowry got knocked down with a stick to the face.

Unlike the Perrault sneaky dirty elbow in game 1 this was right in focus of the play.

Perrault got picked out of the slashing back and forth as payment for his elbow. Will Nurse take a penalty in game 3 when he next lays his stick on a Jet?

He's tall so he takes up a lot of space, that's basically it. He has no reliable technique to speak of. I hated watching him on the Flames because everything that was routine turned into some sort of improve synchronized swimming routine...

He is old and was tired.

Not a lot of pressure on him in the regular season with McDavid and Draistl scoring him comfortable.

Will he revert to norm in game 3?

I won't get excited about this yet. One more loss first please. I also imagine there will be a game (maybe the next one) when McDavid scores a hattrick and the parade is back on.

Credit to Maurice and the Jets. Obviously still some work to do, but coming into the series it was all about McDavid having the best regular season since Gretzky, and Mike Smith’s chance for a Cup. Virtually nothing about the Jets and their players — I think I saw one article about Hellebuyck and that’s it.

The Oilers won their Cup the moment McDavid got his 100th point. Sweep the leg, Jets.

So many thoughts on this game and the problems that the Oilers are facing.

Seeing the panel before the game gushing about the bounce back by Connor and Leon before the game. "They'll get three or four points each, that will be the story tonight" screamed the panel in a pre-organsmic glow of expectation.

"Vroom Vroom they can't stop the Connar" signed Cassie as she started to light the cigar.

Then after the game, just shock, understated shock. Cassie's cigar smouldered unsmoked, Kelly with a half mouth open look of shock on his face. They looked like the meadow party after loosing the election to George Bush, yeah it was expected by everyone that they were going to lose, but their supporters are delusional, just like the Oiler fans and these broad casting teams.

There are lots of issues. Conna looks ok, but Leon is starting to take on that German uberman look of pouting surprise that things aren't being handed to him. "How can the McDavid fail him like this when they're such an unstoppable line?"

Lets be honest, CH was really good, but Smith had to make the bigger and harder saves last night because we saw the return of the this guy scored defensive strategy last night. Smith bailed them out on several occasions.

The Oilers on the bench were collectively sitting with a shock slacked jawed look on their face "How can this happen", they said as they collectively pooped their pants "The strategy of don't worry about it, the Conna and Leon got this is failing".

Meanwhile Mike Smith at 39 has had to face a ton of shots with many of them of the difficult variety. How long before his sciatica, old war injury, bad back preventing him from doing yard work will flare up and we see the goalie with the 40 thousand pound catching glove taking the net.

I know, I know, I'm too happy about it, but it is Edmonton, the most undeserving franchise in the NHL getting their faces punched in.

Hopefully tomorrow the Jets firmly kick them in the nethers, then spin then around and kick them in the a$$. The only think that will make it better is a mid series trade demand by Conna.

My God, the Jets had a terrible record against the Oilers this year, with only two wins in nine games. They went 0-6 v. Edmonton to end the season, and were outscored 21-7.

Congratulations, Winnipeg, on such a fantastic troll-job.

The Jets are suddenly looking like a confident bunch after their lacklustre regular season. One has to assume that all the pundits predicting an Oiler sweep must have rightly pissed them off. I'm betting Maurice posted all that stuff on their dressing room wall for motivation.

And now they've completely taken away home ice from the Oil, and are looking poised to take the series as long as they can keep making McLotteryball's life miserable and limiting his chances. Their strategy has worked two games in a row. I don't see how it can't continue to work for games 3 and 4 as well. If Golden Boy can't get going, the Oilers are in serious trouble because their terrible depth certainly won't be able to pick up the slack.
