My prediction is that we would hear how this was the series that no one wanted and just how great Oilers and leafs are. We will probably also be treated to an update on leafs and Oilers golf tournaments. In other words…great!

I've seen the marner for Eichel proposals flying around on Twitter. Jeez. Also seen oiler fans suggest they go get Eichel.... without giving up the special two.

Pundit on the Fan960 this morning was suggesting it would be bad for the Habs to win - Bergevin needs to go, and if they win, he will be kept on.

17 playoff games without a goal for Marner, eh? It’s almost like the playoffs are a different game and small, weak players can be rendered much less effective than in the regular season.

Or that skill players in general have a more difficult time in the playoffs. McDavid and Draistaitl are not small players and they were 180 in the playoffs compared to their regular season production and 1-8 in their late 9 playoff (play-in) games. At the end of the day some of it is on the players but playoff officiating continues to be an equalizer as the Habs are not a good team at all and we are now a game away from the possibility of the Jets or Habs being in the final 4 which is a joke.

Kucherov is 5'11", Point is 5'10" and neither of those guys seem to have any issues in the playoffs.

Marner is listed at 6'00" and has 25 points in 31 career playoff games. That production isn't that bad at all.

His low scoring numbers over his last 18 PO games has nothing to do with size, it has to do with him shooting 2.56% over his last 18 playoff game with an on ice shooting percentage of 4.00% during that time.

An xGF of 14 and actual GF of 7.

Plus Matthews and Marner have been on the ice for 3 goals for and 0 goals against at even strength, so not like it's them that are hurting them anyways.

Not sure about that.

Brad Marchand is small, Kucherov isnt much bigger, Point, Nylander, Makar, and on and on....all sub 200 lb guys who have great success in the playoffs.

Its all about who wants it more this time of year. Some guys rise up and others wither.

And lets be real here, the Habs are in position to win right now because of goaltending, period. Not sure how officiating is to blame. 7 of the top 10 penalized teams in the playoffs....are still playing.

We need to see the Habs win not only for the Memes, but to see Steve Dangle explode in video chat

Team is 100% haunted. I refuse to cheer for a haunted team.

Get a goddamn exorcist, a voodoo priest, the Ghostbusters and the Pope to Scotiabank ASAP.

With Muzzin and Tavares out the Leafs now have enough of an excuse to lay down and die .. again. It will also leave room in the off season for their fans to declare them a contender again. Just like the oiler fans will plan the parade due to getting some free cap space.

Hard not to concur with this. But that’s why the games are played..

Every team has a chance.

Leafs needs to close this our tonight.

Oh we all know that very, very well. It's the motto of the Calgary Flames organization. Just get into the playoffs because anything can happen. The Habs are a crap losing team that got the benefit of playing a 1st round opponent that can't get over the 1st round playoff hump. They are not a serious threat to win the Stanley Cup.
