This is such a disingenuous portrayal of CP. Take a look around at the several threads dedicated to criticizing team management, coaches and players. No one here is censoring your opinions. The reason you and a few others have received blowback for your series of complaints has a lot to do with the fact that they appear in a thread specifically dedicated to celebrating a win. Feel free to express your feelings about the team in the numerous places where that is appropriate, but don't then be shocked to see others get agitated when you do so in a PGT after a win.
If you want to whine about the current direction of the franchise and wallow in past mistakes, then start a thread about it.

I don't have that skill (or software) to jump past chaos effortlessly when I want to read about a hockey game.
Unfortunately I have to skim through it all in hopes of seeing something that is actually interesting.
I'm not a censor guy. People can have any reaction they want. But if you step into a site that is almost 100% fans of a sports team and either hope they lose or suggest it's not worth watching you're going to get a lot of reaction.
Maybe that's what you wanted.
I'd rather talk about hockey personally.

So you are cheering for them to lose?
Sounds fun

That just in the first couple pages.
What I wanted was to say I agreed with Mattman's opinion. Then CP did as CP does, and piled on, so I defended my opinion (over and over again). And to be honest, I kind of did enjoy it. I quite enjoy arguing, especially when people try to change my opinion.

My God man, give it a rest.
Most folks in here are well versed in the Flames failures since 1990. As a fan since 1995, I am freaking sick and tired of the losing. In 2004, I kept waiting for the bottom to fall out because that's how I was conditioned.
Flames are an imperfect team, and yes many of us see flaws with this club right now. There is still a chance they can win the Cup this year as they have an elite tender, very good d-corps and a decent forward group with a potential game breaker. Let yourself believe a little, otherwise, what is the point of following them at all?

Lol yea, because that always turns out well... And I'm sure the CP mob won't show up in that thread either. Maybe you can start a "post game talk (positive comments only)" thread. Otherwise, let people have their opinions.

So you can give your "opinion" but others cant without you taking offense to it?
Sounds right.

Giving it a rest isn't in my DNA. And it's a slow week at work, so yea...
I don't believe this core has what it takes to win the Cup this year, but would be absolutely thrilled if I was wrong. As mentioned earlier, if they win a round, they'll have my attention.

So fans of a hockey team on a site named to clearly designate it would be for fans of a hockey team took exception to someone doing a single sentence post wishing the team lost and you feel this is piling on?
You don't think it was a given that people would push back on something like that in any forum? for any team? in any sport?
Honestly 85% of the people that read his post ignored him.
I like a good argument. Not usually about myself though.
But since you like it so much I'll just stand down.

If someone pushes back on my post that’s their opinion. I’m not being “shut down”. It happens. If a ton of people push back on my post, that’s their opinion, as well, and maybe it’s a sign my opinion isn’t the gold I thought it was.

Well God bless the 85%. It's the 15% CP mob I took issue with, and we all know who they are...the usual suspects that band together suppressing opinions that are not theirs.

Actually you said his opinion was “correct”. Which is why I chimed in, because that doesn’t make any sense.
