We’re certainly better with Markstrom, but our problem was never goaltending. Not THE problem at least. We are outclassed by top teams, and to top that off, top teams outwork us too.

Outside of the 2nd and 3rd period of the first game, Bennett has been utter garbage.

I'm done rooting for the kid. 4th overall pick for a 4th liner.

Yeah, I’m genuinely baffled by our incompetence on this front.

Bennett at centre with Lucic and Dube was dynamite, while Tkachuk-Backlund-Mangiapane were also great.

So naturally - break it all up and do something different.

Sure, switching Lindholm to centre and trying get that Tkachuk and Lindy duo going is a thing...but those are our best two 5 on 5 players, and we clearly can’t afford having them on one line together.

Backlund looks like a lazy pile of junk this season so far, and that’s a big ass problem.
