If I had to wear that appalling outfit I'd probably be aging pretty quick too. Yuck.

The year and half of no signings has just caught up. It didn't look good last spring, but a fluke win over City and then Ajax gave some false hope that were somehow making it work. But even after two windows of bringing in players, we need the defence vastly improved.

We haven't had any offence, but give both Kane and Son are out that's understandable.

Atalanta just pumping goals in across all competitions. Would love to see them win it.

Has just caught up?

It's been pointed out here more than once that they were seriously struggling the last third of last season. The writing was on the wall then.

Maybe you noted that in my post when I said it didn't look good last spring?

I did think there was cause for some optimism when we brought in Lo Celso and Ndombele. Tanguy hasn't been good though and the backline has basically been a mess. I really think that's down to personnel though. While everyone has their misgivings about Mourinho, the truth is he can usually set a team up to defend. We're just lacking the right players, and largely a DM to help shield some of that weaker backline. Basically, sending Dembele out and having Wanyama become a shell of his former self has exposed the aging Alderweireld and Vertonghen. Sanchez is decent, and Foyth wasn't good enough to step in.

Yeah it looked do bad last Spring you put it down to exclusive to Spurs only WC fatigue and had them locked into third for this year. You want an award for finally noticing what others have been pointing out to you for over a year?

This season is similar to last. One elite team, one very good team.

Then a bunch of very average teams scrapping it out.

I did think that they'd be better this year and I stand by that. I thought that we had a lot of injuries and issues last year, never mind what we've seen this year. I don't think that's crazy to think when we lost both Dele and Kane for a lengthy period and until then we were up near the top of the table.

Of course, we've had a number of issues this season. I don't think that we could be challenging for the title, but losing both Kane and Son has hurt us for sure.

I don't think I've ever despised a player as much as Neymar. Joke of a red card.

Away goals in overtime is dumb. Actually overtime in two legged ties is dumb. Just go to penalties after 180 minutes.

That's rough. Looked like an obvious foul on the other end just outside the box, and then Adrian flaps at another one. Goalkeeping the difference in this one.
