But the puck is already over, so even if his skate came off the ice it might still have been on the ice when the puck crossed. Did the Flames catch a break? I don't think we know.

It's for failed offside challenges to discourage coaches using them unless they're fairly sure, in response to so many unnecessary offside challenges wasting time when the coaches challenge was introduced.

I agree the puck is in/inconclusive.
The skate shadow breaks on that frame so I think it’s up and it really was that close.

I don't know. Offsides is theoretically black/white, while goalie interference is completely vague and inconsistent from game to game and official to official.
