Hopefully the Flames can have a big 3rd here. Would be nice if we could hang on to the division lead, as Vegas isn't going away anytime soon.

I always wonder if I've got rose coloured glasses or something when it comes to officiating in the NHL.
As a fan, it seems horrendous. But I don't watch enough neutral games to know how bad my bias is.
It does seem to me to be the most subjective style of reffing in pro sports though.

AC, I know that there are always video requests for you.
But you are the person to shake things up and publish a video critique of NHL reffing. Not just to bash the refs overall (they are human overall) but to highlight the game management inconsistencies in a non-partisan way

Does anyone think that on a Canucks / Flyers broadcast they’d spend their intermissions gushing about Gaudreau?
Sportsnet needs to get a clue.

That about sums it up.

I don't believe that.
I think it's just complete incompetence and inconsistency call-to-call, period-to-period, and game-to-game.

Gaudreau should get Hart consideration this year, and perhaps should even win it IMO. The Flames would be lost without him, teams just have zero ability to contain him. Never seen anything like it on a Flames hockey team before.
Seeing Rittich between the pipes is a breath of fresh air.

Nah, it’s bias. And it’s been that way for awhile. I think people are just afraid to admit it because of how extreme it seems.

They've been great.
Even calling too. I was wondering by they got so excited at the near Flames misses. So used to the homerism from so many other teams.

I hate when we whine about the Refs. It makes us sound like Oiler fans.

Do yourself a favour and watch a couple neutral games today if you can.
It has nothing to do with the Flames. The refereeing is horrible league wide. And it feels like it's getting worse.

I hate it when the refs give us legitimate reasons to whine about. Sure it's dumb when people complain over every little thing, but there have been awful calls/missed calls today.

Every fanbase whines about the refs. To suggest a league-wide conspiracy against the Flames in particular is painfully naïve.

I'll contain my whining to early whistles on should be Flames goals and overturns with marginal evidence on should be Flames goals.
The non calls and even up calls are pretty expected at this point.

I don’t think it’s whining it’s just calling it how we see it.
It’s every game and there are many examples every game.
