I love Rick Ball, but I love Bob Cole more.

Down by only one heading into the best period. I'll take it.
And thank-you for giving us Bob Cole tonight CBC. Senility and all.

It's his last year, just enjoy it while we have him, we'll miss him next year when his games are given to Randorf.
He's doing one helluva job for someone that doesn't even know where he is right now

Very sloppy period, but the Flames eventually took over in the last few minutes there, resulting in Chucky's goal.
Need a strong 3rd here, and FFS, tighten up the D. They've been way too loosey goosey tonight.

He's 85, any team in Canada could be considered a Canuck team.
Personally if I reach 85 I hope I can remember my name... let alone a hockey team name

Ugh. Really really hope Bennett gets a goal tonight because there's some smelly wasted ######bag in a Phaneuf jersey in front of me ripping on him. Even ripping Johnny for having a muffin and being short.
Tkachuk is so smart.

That's the thing about hockey fights and the beauty of it. One can take a stinger at a moment. Foigno is a tough middle weight during this passive NHL time.

Smith has been horrible this year no question, but that Rinaldo shot was a perfect shot, even if Rinaldo's normally a horrible hockey player.

The Hawks defense can barely move the puck even with Keith, so the Flames really need to get moving and get on the forecheck

I just tuned in. Disappointing to be trailing after two once again but at least I’m confident in a comeback.
Also I had to laugh at the 3 goals on 11 shots.

How many of us growing up playing hockey would hear our coaches say: "never up the middle", and you inevitably do it again because that's hockey... even when you are making a professional salary. I love this game.

I'm just saying it's not the same situation. They were both good shots. The Tkachuk one was a harder save tho

Those Oilers highlights are making me angry. That team needs some adversity in the worst way. Their next game is against Tampa, so hopefully we'll see them get blown out.

Doesn't change the fact that it wasn't fair to blame Smith for THAT particular goal.

No kidding hey! Sometimes puck pursuit or when you see a potential to make a shift changing move, you forget the basic hockey fundamentals instilled on you from the coaches. So, you give up the middle and go for it, skating outside of the imaginary rectangle box between the offensive and defensive hash marks.
