Hopefully he can do something next year. I can't see him making the Blue Jackets if that is all he brings.

Every time we see Canada deviate from a defensively sound hard nose style and attempt to play a skill score off the rush game they lose. I was really disappointed with the coaching style of this team.

Not really, cause those are subjective and decided by judges like figure skating. In a shootout it's either in or it's not.

Why can't I anti-thank this post?
As a neutral observer I felt that Canada really deserved the gold medal with the way they stepped up in the semifinal and this game. Just insane. They looked like a hot mess before that. Tough way to go. Stoked as hell for Fox and Parsons though

God forbid players be stoked and have a personality...

Because they choked in the second too. That was a horrible period. They redeemed themselves to start the third but choked again.

Dubois looks average. Plays well against regular teams but not good against other good players.
Parsons looks amazeballs.

Ok, then it's like deciding a basketball game with a free throw contest.

Class move. US head coach shaking hands with all Canadian players before they step off ice.

I'm sure he meant well but it seems a little bit weird for the American coach to stand next to the gate where the Canadian players are exiting the ice and shake their hands while he's wearing his medal. Well after the official handshake has already ended. Kind of seems like rubbing it in. Oh, hey losers, see my new medal?

One of the reasons I always thought soccer was lame was because of penalties to decide tie games. Who is the bonehead that advocated shootouts in hockey to begin with??

I like TSN being a half a second late every time they try to censor the swearing. Why even bother?

Can you imagine what some here would say if Tkachuk was on the team and dabbing, meme'ing and being a general jokester?
They're kids people, a guy blowing a kiss to the camera isn't representing the Flames or his country poorly.

Parsons stopped the last 23 shots Canada fired at him and then all 5 in the shootout.
Kid looks damn good.
We'll deserved gold, great game.

Lots of sourness. Congrats to The States, let's get them in their own barn next year.
