Yeah that's poor coaching. You have to give the people who are going the ice. ESPECIALLY when your whole line up is stud players.

Was that the goal where Mcdavid looked like the slowest player on the ice?

When the management team is from the Oilers and the Oilers golden child is on the roster you knew before the tourney started that McDavid would get more ice time than any other forward.

He's either struggling and he needs to play more to get out of the funk or he's playing well and they need to ride the hot hand. MacLellan isn't going to shave his minutes any time soon, need to get things figured out before the NHL starts.

That was not an open net. The chances of a left handed player scoring from that position is probably less than 30%. It is pretty hard to score from that angle in that close and from that angle.

I thought playing McDavid that much was ok.. maybe a minute or two less.

Playing Matthews that much is ridiculous. Especially when there are other stars on the bench.

^ Matthews played over 9 minutes in the 3rd, including including almost 6 1/2 minutes in the last 11.

That's silly, given your bench.

Just more evidence of the Oilers' tried and true 'sink or swim' mentality concerning their Wunderkinder.

Yeah, I watched the game. Can't believe Gaudreau wasn't played on the 5-3. This is your top statistical guy when ice space opens up and you barely play him?

This was poor use of talent tonight and poor coaching. Most of the players were there, but he overplayed those top lines.

Matthews looked way better then Connor as a side note. But by the end of the game he was gassed. Pretty upset with how the coach rolled tonight.

Got no faith in the guy. I could go back and pull up awful predictions from all the members on this forum. Except Mr.master he's never been wrong. I just simply thought it was a poor sport reaction. Everyone else on the team stayed out after a near comeback, they came close as it gets to notching it up. Show some class

Gaudreau is hands down the best PP puck distributor you could put out there. Completely gets shafted. f###ing hype dictating the ice time. Fun team, but also aggravating.

Yeah he darted off the ice immediately afterwards. Was probably pissed he didn't capitalize. He probably would've once or twice if he was given a few more minutes than he was though....

Haha! Yeah NOTHING on the level of predicting an impact season from Baertschi. That was a whole other realm of bafflingly awful.

Good to see the team's best player continue to get shafted when it comes to ice time.

I feel Nuge is a poor mans Monahan slightly better defensively but no where near the goal scorers touch. If he was playing in the tournament having Johnny and Mackinnon as his wings would be fun to watch.

Rogers probably loved the McDavid Matthews show even though sticking those guys on the ice for so long at the end of the game was not the right call

Well at least you owned it. We don't know the back story behind Gaudreau leaving quickly so why don't we wait to find out what happened before we call him classless.
