Cook is such an outstanding player. It was nice to actually watch him play in a "meaningless" bowl game given the fact that he is slated to go in the first round of the NFL draft.

Who's fault is that? No one forces these kids to take cupcake majors and courses. They all get their education paid for so why not use this golden opportunity that the majority of other University students don't get and get a degree that will be useful in your life?
You can't play football forever. The average NFL career is 3.3 years and that's if you're lucky enough to make it.

So play another sport. They all know Football is a physically demanding sport and yes, if they want to play in the NFL, they have to actually go to College for free and play in the NCAA. These poor student athletes.
They get a free education which is worth well over 6 figures over the course of 4 years. They get top coaching, access to physiotherapists, massage therapists, all their meals and athletic apparel are paid for, most play on national TV every week, get to travel by a chartered plane and play in NFL stadiums, Australia, Ireland, go to bowl games in Hawaii and the Bahamas.
Also, have you seen some of these athletic facilities? They're nicer than NFL facilities. It's crazy what these players have access to.

Again it's their choice. Play another sport then. These kids are getting a free education to fall back on while still holding out hope that they can make the NFL. Whether or not they want to take advantage of it is up to them.

I agree and have always been a big proponent of this. If you can make money off your namesake, go for it. Sign some autographs, show up at an event and get paid. If someone will pay you, all the power to you.
