All goals on Hiller have been saveable, all were bad defence. The last one - you have to block that soft wrister, or else make sure the goalie can see it, not have triple layers of screening (those were ones Wideman used to score on with slappers).

Late coming in here... Why is Hiller in net? Are they just flipping between him and Ortio? I thought Ortio has been doing better...or are we trying to tank?

So following up on my previous post, Jonas Hiller has now allowed 4 or more goals in 50% of his starts this season. (This being his 24th game)

I don't know. Ortio's not been the problem in the starts he's had recently. Hiller though has checked out. You can tell in the body language.
And I think Backstrom is going to surprise. Why? He's one of the most efficient moving goalies I've ever seen. So his style should not be affected by a "loss of step"

The way the Flames played defensively tonight you can argue that Hartley spared him by playing Hiller.

Hrudey doesn't get too fired up about things, but really is on the refs about the Flames deserving another call or two.
And yeah, less and less tinfoil on the hat as these games go by since the Wideman incident.

Is anyone else surprised by this??? You would think Hiller would want to show well given that a year as bad as this year might could potentially end his career.

Latey it looks like Bennett has been borrowing Blake Comeaus rubber hockey sticks. Needs to change his curve.

That's why I said he was not good and that the goals were saveable? Odd.

Kelly says flames should get an even up call... Lol, the only even up call will be an even 10 against.

It's not Hiller's fault!! The team just plays bad enough to allow 4 over the shoulder goals per game when he's in net
