Yeah that's a pretty insane contract for that position but Cox is an absolute beast.

So after cropping Elway out of white house pictures now Von has taken to Instagram and stated that there is "no chance" he will play 2016 under the franchise tag.
Negotiation tactic or not good for him, get that money Von. I just hope it isnt the Broncos who give it to him. 20 mil a year for non QB just doesn't make sense to me.

Good for him. Football careers are too short, and money isn't guaranteed. Gotta get paid when you can.

After a season like that I can't blame Miller. I'd hate to lose him but he deserves that paycheck

I cant blame him either...nor do i believe him.
He has been offered almost 60 million guarenteed and turned it down, so no he wont play a year for 16 million (or whatever the tag number is) but i dont believe for a second he wouldnt revisit the offer he turned down....he will never ever make that money back on any deal. nevermind losing a year of his prime playing time and at least 19 million dollars, he would lose leverage in negotiations with anyone.
This does beg the question though of why the Broncos are lowballing him.

My take on Miller is that either they think he is the best defensive player in the league or they don't. If they think he is they have to pay him. If not, trade him and get on with it.
A pattern is starting to develop here though and it is a dangerous one, IMO.

Lol "accidentally" sent to the AP....
Quote:
Johnny Manziel's attorney, Bob Hinton, is reportedly seeking a plea deal in the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner's domestic violence case.
Hinton's plan of action came to light when the Associated Press contacted him via text message Wednesday while searching for a response to an apparent hit-and-run incident involving the embattled quarterback.
On Friday, the AP's Schuyler Dixon reported Hinton accidentally replied, "Heaven help us if one of the conditions is to pee in a bottle."
"When asked about the text, Hinton said he had meant to send it to another attorney on the case and was unaware the AP had received it instead," Dixon wrote. "He insisted the contents were protected by attorney-client privilege and threatened to sue if certain details were published."

How the hell does that even happen?!?!? Does the AP just have a phone plugged in at the office waiting for this to happen?

I'm right there with you. That Eagles team was what got me into American football and why I follow them to this day. Like someone said, the D was crazy and I loved it.

Smart man.
I have always liked defense, in football, hockey, baseball what have. I loved those late 80's early 90's team because it was balls to the wall defense, White, Allen, Joyner, Waters, Simmons, Brown. I was a huge Allen fan.

Former Colts running back Zurlon Tipton dies in accidental shooting at Michigan car dealership
A former Indianapolis Colts running back died Tuesday after a gun in his car was accidentally discharged.
Tipton pulled into the service bay at a Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership in Roseville, Michigan around 9:30 a.m., according to WJBK. He went to take a duffel bag out of the trunk of his vehicle, and one of the two guns inside the bag reportedly went off. He was struck in the stomach. Tipton was taken to the hospital in good condition, but later died. He was 26 years old.

Andrew Luck is apparently now the highest paid player in NFL history. No total terms yet but it's a 5 year deal with $75 million in the first 3 years.
