Jets fans are as diehard as any fans I've ever seen. To me, they are hardly bandwagoners. There are far more bandwagon Flames fans than Jets fans.

Except the entire point of the season is to bring home the Cup. They should want it from game 1 in September, and I don't think chanting it knowing you're 1 of 16 teams fortunate enough to make the cut is embarrassing or premature.
Just my opinion. Really digging the energy out of Winnipeg, even though it will have to be snuffed mercilessly should the Flames meet them in the next couple months.

Alright Mr. Sensitive, take it somewhere else. You're ruining the thread now.

No idea why this near pre season game result is getting jets fans chanting "We want the cup." And I was also here in 2004. If you think the intensity of those games was as low as this near pre season game, I'm afraid your memory is a little lax. All we are commenting on is a chant that is generally reserved for a team that is a little further along in the playoffs.

I just don't see it happening unless they go down a couple games.

I'm not nearly as much of a Raymond hater as lot of others on here. That said, I hope to God he's not playing any meaningful minutes in the playoffs.

Well, they had their team swept away from them to play in the hockey hotbed of Glendale, Arizona.
It's funny how much you learn to appreciate something and not take it for granted when it's taken away from you.

I dont understand why we are supposed to not like the Jets? They are a pretty similar story to us and play a hard nosed style without a real superstar. I love how much their fan base has come together and we are not really rivals with them anymore. I hope that is who we play in round 2. That would be fun

Neither of us are getting it.
But it'll be fun all the same

People like you are the reason why I hate everything and almost everyone Calgary. Bunch of high-horse money-grubbing snots who think their fecal matter doesn't stink. And as for the riff-off of your sad "sea of red" playoff mantra, boy do you have it backwards. But I'm not surprised, it's typical of your kind.
Regardless, to all decent Flames fans out there, good luck this playoff season.

Yup. What iteration of the Flames is Calgary on? Both Calgary and Winnipeg were pressed to the point of losing their teams. Calgary responded and kept their team. We have the Arizona Coyotes as a result of Winnipeger's last investment in saving their team. Flames fans. Such bandwagoners!

I call 'em as I see 'em. I've already commented on why the outrage over a we want the cup chant is stupid and petty... and that's the last I'll comment on it

Because they represent a terrible city full of awful people. It's pretty straightforward.
