Fair bit of whining from Detroit fans tonight. Glad to see Wideman and Russell look okay.

Detroit has the dumbest fans of any original six team. Clearly used to being favored by the officials for decades.

Trainer rolls down Kris Russell's sock, removes his shin pad, looks at the 57 bruises and asks him, "Which one was it?"

you can shoot, you should just be careful with your stick.
No different than being hit and losing your balance and getting your stick up.
either or, that had to suck.

When the Flames got Russell, did you ever think there would be a time late in a season during a playoff push where we all collectively held our breath when he walked down the tunnel?
Dude is a warrior.

I was quite literally about to respond "I see your Detroit fans and raise you all the Habs fans." Best me to it.

Every shot the Flames get is a decent scoring chance, just because they don't cycle the puck for 10 minutes before they get a chance

Disagree. You would have people that would try to be drawing penalties right and left. People would be whipping their head . back. High sticking is suppose to be penalizing people for reckless sticks. Shooting is not reckless.
