What a great pass there to Brodie from Monahan at the blueline.

Ends up in the back of the net, but it was a great pass.

Flames are so desperate for a hint of physical edge to their game, as it stands they are an easy team to stand up on, overload along the boards and finish their checks on Calgary's defenders.

There's no physical aspect to Calgary's forecheck, it's all fly-bys from undersized players.

The more I think about that Shane Doan rumour, the more I think it's a good addition.

Calgary needs SOMETHING in the size and physicality department. With Bouma out of the lineup, it all goes with him.

And that's all she wrote, folks. This has been such an incredibly frustrating stretch. Flames have actually played pretty well over the last few games, but their offence has really dried up lately, the PP is atrocious, and they've made some bad defensive mistakes that have ended up in the back of our net.

Every team goes through this, and I think they'll turn it around. But they could easily be out of a playoff spot by next week if they can't find a way to get back in the win column soon. Losing sucks.

Yep. When they were playing lights out the Flames were the talk of the NHL. When they play bad the Flames are equally bad.
