Nice shift there for Backlund's line.

Just wondering if anyone gives any credit to the idea that plenty of players have had the flu in the last couple of day and that maybe some of our active guys aren't really at 100% right now? I'm not saying that's the difference between winning and losing this game (not by a long shot), just that is it a consideration?

Nothing wrong with sheltering Gaudreau, the Wings did the same with both Zetterberg and Datsyuk early in their careers and they turned out alright.

This parlay l power play has no idea what it wants to accomplish.

Who is the play being set up for? What is the plan?

I really hope Hartley is only giving Setoguchi PP time to show that he brings nothing to our team. Waive him then send him down and call up Granlund/Baertschi.

Well, Adirondack has been outscored 11-2 over the last 2 games.

Pretty bad weekend for Flames fans.

See, now there is no excuse for that. The Flames are putrid and rebuilding but that Heat team has a damn good lineup.

Setoguchi and Wideman are pretty much a guarantee that the Fliames are going to finish at or near the bottom

If Johnny gets sent down I don't think there's much reason left to watch the Flames. But it seems like that's the direction things are headed in.

What we have here is a roster full of complacent and/or malcontent veterans who just want to collect a pay check and go home. Not unlike the B.Sutter years, except this team is much, much worse.

This is awful hockey to try and sit through.

Does it?

I know we like to think so, but doesn't look that way so far. (Very early of course.)

Well on paper and with the talent that team has there is no excuse to be that bad. Not sure what is going on down there but I believe things will right themselves soon.
