Rangers would still be on the hook for re-capture if they trade Richards. Very doubtful they do it as they are a perennial cap team and won't risk that penalty down the line.

Cammy for Krieder would mean the Flames would need to eat salary...I can't imagine they do it straight.
Kind of intriguing bring Gaudreau's former team mate in. I know it doesn't translate at all to the NHL but could be a chip to try to entice Gaudreau to leave after this season.

Hagelin, Sven, Glencross? Once Cammy is gone we're pretty cleared up unless I am missing someone thats not a fourth liner. Hudler, Stempniak and Jones are RW I thought. Although Hudler can play both sides.

He's a top prospect. Bad year at his age under a tough coach doesn't change that.

The more that i look at NY roster the more i don't want Feaster to trade Cammi to the Rangers. They have some great pieces, but i dont see them giving up any of the good stuff. They have no 1st or 2nd round pick either.

I dont think Cammy has that much value to be honest with everyone. Like Jiri said above it wouldnt suprise me if the deal was for a player like Boyle. I would actually be excited for that if maybe a 3rd round pick ws included also with Boyle. The Flames would be adding great size to the team while the younger players are bringing great skill to the organization. I think thats a winning combo for a rebuilding organization.

I would think that we should learn from the return gained from the deadline deals - unless you are trading really nice pieces it is hard to get high end prospects. You have to look to the 2nd tier - so St. Croix, Christain Thomas types - not Miller/Kreider types.
