^^ That one is too close to the Ottawa 67s or alternate Sens jersey.
I don't mind the Stajan one too much.

This looks so badass, and so good. (**for a 3rd jersey). A revamped, better version of the horse head. I like.
Funny how the only ones getting praised are repeats of everything that has already been done/used, or extremely close to it. Love the current retros, but if they are in fact done then we have to move on. This is 2013, and by now most other teams have brought out something different, so if we're strictly talking a 3rd jersey to be worn 8-12 games a season, might as well go somewhere New...don't you think?
Let's open our minds a bit on this one. We'll still have 70+ games of the primaries.

I actually do the like the color-scheme and layout, but I am not a fan of that logo. And I liked the horse head third.

I dig the idea of a new horse-related logo. The one above is neat, not perfect, but I'm more a fan of that than some of the others that just take the flaming C and change the jersey layout a bit. Personally if it was just a change in jersey layout I would be a fan of moving to a similar style as the Minny thirds. Simple, solids, 2 colours, MAYBE 3. A "classic" look, but something that the flames haven't had.

Apologies for quoting this post and making everyone look at this heinous design again, but man... The only thing it has going for it are the shoulder patches. And even then, they're in the wrong place.

Am I the only one here that thinks we really don't need to re-invent the wheel on this jersey go around?
I really love/loved the retro jerseys. They are pure classics. Then again, my all time favourite is the 04 reds. Best flames jersey ever.
Honestly, the flames have a pretty awesome logo, and I'd hate to see us go full ###### (Dallas Stars, is that you?) on our already amazing uniforms.

The off white jerseys done in Dr. Pepper thread are by far the best mock ups. I hope those making these types of decisions actually look at types of things the hardcore and general fans like.

I like the colours, but the whites look like practice jerseys. Needs some more 'stuff' going on there.

The main problem I have with those is the curved lines and the side piping (which is the worst part of our current home and away kit). I don't know, I find that kind of design indicative of the Reebok jersey redesign, where it's more about "Hey look at these lines!" than it is about a really great jersey layout. Those jerseys would be fine, but they wouldn't have that iconic kind of weight to them, they'd just be another jersey that is going to be replaced in a few years. I don't know, I just love me some solid lines and bold colours, too much piping and colour splashing makes it look like an expansion team to me.

My problem with going "somewhere new" is almost every mock I see has an ongoing war against the colour yellow. It scares me. It was a big part of the original franchise colour scheme for over 20 years and looks awesome, and since the 94-95 season its been as minimized as it gets on the normal jersey. I don't get it. Why do we want Bulls/Falcons colours so bad? Embrace the "real" Flames colours, it looks better anyway.
Not saying it has to be the retros again, but I'd just like to see them do a design with those colours only. Aside from the retros, its been a long time since they did that so it'd feel like something new/different anyways, if that's what you're looking for.

Agreed 100%. I'm not handy with the design software, but I'll try to describe my vision, and invite someone else to try to bring it to life.
Envision "traditional" or "old school" striping.
Home: Base colour red, secondary colour yellow, small amount of black trim and no white whatsoever. Black flaming C and numbers with yellow outline. Name on back yellow only. Black helmets and solid black pants.
Away: Base colour white, secondary colours red and yellow with small amount of black trim. Red flaming C and numbers with yellow and black outlines. Name on back red only. White helmet and solid black pants.
Thirds: Base colour black, secondary colours or red and yellow, no white whatsoever. Red flaming C and numbers with yellow trim. Name on back in yellow only. Black helmet and solid black pants. Limit use of these to 4 times a year at most.
I would also petition the league to wear the throwbacks as a fourth set of "Heritage" jerseys, worn only at home on Saturday nights.

I really like these.
Although, I'd swap the third horsehead jersey for the "young guns" jersey on the last page.

Hypothesis: Focus groups will always prefer jerseys with black primary.
Conclusion: We should not use focus groups to decide jersey colours.
