I feel a sense of kindred watching the Android fans get all excited about shipment tracking.

Sincerely,
iPhone user.

(seriously - I'm glad you guys are excited, it's fun to watch and I'm looking forward to the reviews)

Android question-
When I moved from my HTC 1 S I used a program called Wondershare to move all my messages to the HTC 1 V. This program doesn't recognize the Nexus 4. Can someone let me know if there is an App that will do this?

FYI for those using screen protectors like mybestskins or zagg, if it covers the prox sensor in the top left corner it turns off your screen when you make calls and can't do anything afterwards.

I wondered why the shipping screen protector it came with had a notch there, good to know.

Okay, now I want one. My HTC is dying a slow, multiple-drops related death.

How's everyone's battery life so far?

I find it's a little worse than the 4S but not too bad. At around 12 hours of pretty good use (messaging, surfing the web, watched videos, RDPed into home computer, downloaded apps) and it's at 14% now.

Just an FYI for anyone that needs/wants to try this, I had to do this tonight for an iPad Mini that I was moving a micro sim into. If you scale the A4 template up 12.5% and do not set it to fit to page, it will print to the correct dimensions. I verified with a ruler, which I'd encourage you to do even though 12.5% upscaling is the correct number.

I used a fresh blade in an Olfa style boxcutter, and made many fine passes until the sim was scored deeply enough to allow me to snap the extra plastic off cleanly. I then smoothed it out with a bit of sandpaper, and sanded down the back in a circular motion just enough to take the writing off the sim - the previous gen sims are ever so slightly thicker. Don't overdo the sanding of the back - it doesn't need much at all.

This is the template I used. The one on the right side came out perfectly sized for my sim card.

I also did it in my office in 30 seconds with a pencil to mark up my sim card and a pair of crappy scissors. It is very much NOT difficult.

Yup, the circle is now complete.

Apparently there's a right way to switch too, otherwise iMessage still thinks its going and sends all their messages into the iMessage void instead of switching to SMS.

Maybe later today I'll switch phones over.

Disable iMessage on the iPhone before wiping it or whatever, otherwise it'll think its still iMessage.

Just curious. Is there a compelling reason to move from an SII to the Nexus?
Besides sreen size.

Compelling?

I dunno about that. It's certainly a newer better phone and if you're looking to upgrade to a new phone then do it. But if you're not, don't.

Maybe if you want to get on to stock android so you get updates faster (instead of waiting for both Samsung and the carrier to release it)
