There is lots of chatter out there that he is available but at what cost?

That's just not fair, Anaheim Angles acquire Zack Greinke from Milwaukee Brewers for Jean Segura, Johnny Hellweg & Ariel Pena.

That Angels rotation should be the best in the AL with Weaver, Haren, Wilson, and now Grienke. If Santana could get back to form, that gives them 5 really solid starters. If they make the playoffs, Mike Trout should be the unanimous MVP. That team was sputtering along, until he was put in that lineup every day.

Chicago has made two transactions tonight, sending Geovanny Soto to Texas in one deal for Jake Brigham.

Reed Johnson and Paul Maholm are headed to Atlanta for Jaye Chapman and Arodys Vizcaíno

Always liked Reed. Hope he keeps up his solid play and good batting average with the Braves.

Would love to see him get more regular starts in the outfield but he's 35 years old and has been kinda beset by back issues not so much this year but definitely the previous 4 years.

Have to marvel at the A's and the run they've been on of late. The Angels keep adding and adding to their payroll.....but the A's who unless you are a hardcore fan, or an A's fan have like 3-4 players that casual fans recognize are tied with them. Yeonis Cespedes and Chris Carter have been combining to be the most powerful duo since the all-star break.

Looks like Demspter to LAD is all but done... no details yet.

EDIT: Still nothing, maybe it won't happen after all.

The Phillies also will send cash to the Giants to cover part of the roughly $3.3 million left on Pence's 2012 contract. He will be under Giants control for 2013, his final year of arbitration eligibility.

The trade is costly for the Giants, who give up one of their better prospects in Joseph and a major-league ready outfielder, but the front office filled a longstanding need for a right-handed power bat.

Trout, you're going to love watching Pence play. Graceful as an inbred baby deer.

Ryan Demspter has been traded to Texas for a pitcher and a batter both at the Class A level.

I'm going to miss Nate Schierholtz, but I'm looking forward to Pence. Nate played right field as good as anyone, including Randy Winn. It's too bad he went through that slump in April and never got his job back. I wish him well.

7 wins in a row for the Mariners. Apparently they don't miss Ichiro at all.

The Mariners are going through a hot streak, good for them but still not a very good ballclub at all.

Not sure why they'd miss 2012 Ichiro anyway, shell of his former self.
